Are we allowed to make a post to see if people are interested in a WSO idea?

Warriors,

I am considering offering a WSO, but before sending out review invitations and setting up examples of the process I would like to see if the warrior forum would even be interested.

Am I allowed to create a thread/poll to guage the demand?

No. It will be treated as pre-selling and deleted. Depending on how blatant you were, it could also get you a ban.

Good idea to have asked this first. Shows courtesy to the other members. Thank you.

You're very welcome! I don't want to lose my account for something that could have been prevented with a bit of research, so I guess it is a bit of a "guess and see" with a WSO topic then? Am I allowed to contact members inquiring for free reviews?

I'd recommend offering copies in the review section, personally. PMing people you don't know asking for reviews is generally not a good idea. Looks like spam.

Do NOT require a testimonial, or even sound like it. That's not allowed, and we delete those as soon as we spot them. Legit requests for feedback are fine.

I'm hoping one of the mods in the review section will tell me via PM if I've just recommended something of which they don't approve...

Great! Also, my offer will be a service. I've seen services done as WSO and warrior for hire, which do you recommend? What are the benefits of one versus the other?

The WSO will get more attention quickly, and give you a quick way to get comments from paying customers. The WFH section is more long-term, at least if you plan it right.

I don't offer services any more, but if I were, this is what I'd do:

        1. Offer a killer price on a WSO, to get those first clients. Make sure they know it's an intro, and not the long-term pricing structure.

        2. Do a great job for them, so you have a list of clients who may become all you need to build the business.

        3. Get testimonials from those folks. Meaning, earn their respect. Then use those comments in the WFH thread.

        4. Find low cost/time ways to add value ("THUD") to your offering. Sometimes even small things can make all the difference.

That's a basic starter process which I'd use. It's not magic, but it will work like it if your customers are happy.

Also, check your PM box. I've sent you something that might help.
