But I have a hard time believing that 4 to 5000 birds could all bump their little uncoordinated heads at the same time. Couple hundred to five hundred maybe.

I don't think they really know, I would buy mass fright, from the fireworks more than this. From what I understand birds can suddenly die from fright.


There is a site, I'll see if I can find it, part of google maps, that shows fish, animals dying all over the world en mass, whether that is due to better data and surveillance, I'm not sure.

I'll go consult with my two headed frog.

Do you have ANY idea how STRONG birds are relative to anything they can do? They can bash their heads against HEAVY glass and cause a vibration in the BASEMENT of a home, and STILL survive to keep trying! I have seen that in my 4100sf home! I mean they go against my diningroom window, and I can hear them in the BASEMENT on practically the other side of the house. WOW! And they can DIVE at effectively full speed and pull out fine. Birds may have to effectively act like military fighter jets while a much LARGER foe tries to dive into them to make them a snack! Surprisingly, most that die die as a consequence of being CAUGHT!

So I don't buy the idea that they hit something in the air, or were scared, to death.

As for blunt force trauma? **********DUH***********! Just falling to the ground could do that. BESIDES, only 3 things can create that sort of effect, poison, pestilence, or extreme force.
