Unproductive Day *Vent goes here*

Who else has a had an unproductive day? It has sucked so far. Here's a rundown.

1. Kids are in my face every 2 minutes, "I want a drink, I want crackers, I want to watch Dora" OMG, I love them to death, but today....yeah.

2. I am still waiting for a full size keyboard for typing. I write about 10 articles a day and my wrists are shot.

3.It's F#$%^&g snowing AGAIN.

Please give me April and a day where I don't have to break up World War 3, run a catering station and referee the TV. Oh and at least 4 hours where I can write in peace. Seriously.

*Vent Over* Thanks for reading all about my pathetic-ness.

    Hello,
my oldest son went away to college in September, after that I was finally able to make some money and really get things done.
He was home for a month for a school break and I yelled at him for bothering me so hard that I hurt my eye, I thought I had a stroke.
He is back at school and I am back at work.

We were hit with almost 18 inches in PA 2 days ago...at least that's what my wife tells me. I've been down in Fort Lee, Virginia for the last 4 months training. We had almost 6 inches here a few days ago.

    What?

No pointless "I'm bored so you must be, too" phone calls from friends who don't get the whole work at home thing?

    Grrr...

    "Hey, whatchya doin'?"

    "Um. Workin'..."

    ""Yeah? So, didya watch Oprah?"

    "Um. No, I'm working."

"Oh. Didya watch Dr. Oz? Judge Judy?"

    "No, I'm WORKING."

"Oh. OK, talk to ya lata."

    Argh!

I was off to a good week, scraped 40K pages from a website, and then I discovered that google doesn't want any of that anymore, and then my week just went to **** No work for me until I figure out something to do!

Hmmm... well at least you have so much chaos going on which is causing this. My sites have been down all freaking day. I've been told the server received a DDOS attack today. MySQL has been offline for seven hours. My html adsense sites are still up thankfully, but every wordpress installation is down. To say I'm frustrated would be an understatement!

I guess I wish breaking World War 3 between children would be the reason I'm unproductive right now lol.

Thankfully no snow, but I bet we get hit hard before Spring comes. Snow just makes me cranky too!

I've spent my entire week in and out of Family court. Most days I've been there from 8AM until about 4Pm in the afternoon. As of about 2 hours ago though, I think everything has been resolved for at least a couple of weeks.

It was a ****ty week with a happy ending and there wasn't a massage parlor in site. Hopefully next week will be better.

Released my first WSO- no sales yet! Was riddled with technical problems once it went live. Lots of veteran Warriors coming down on my product kinda rough. Wound up giving 5 free review copies....

Its cool though, I took action. Scraped my knees, will get up and try again later-need some sleep first though! Thanks for this venting thread, just what I needed.

Seriously. I've had a headache for two days that got so bad that I couldn't stand up without upchucking for around 12 hours. Actually got so bad I took some of my dog's pain meds he doesn't use anymore. I have a backload of stuff to do that is gonna keep me broke for a week. My sister is going through a bad split up and my niece is going through an unwanted divorce. Between the two of them my stress level just went on overdrive. I'm getting half done that I should be on a consistent basis for the last month and being the only one around to keep people sane through it all has just crashed my own.

F*** - glad to vent. Got to go take more aspirin. I thought it was a stroke - but those don't last this damned long.

No venting for me today I'm afraid, I've had one of those "I think we're on to something" non-stop days and its looking guuurd

Try not to worry about one bad day - just think, all your hard work will pay off and your children can be running around a holiday resort of some sort.

Atleast you have identified what causes your un-productiveness, many haven't

Haha thats so sweet Charlotte & Lou!

I live with my parents - and they are strict believers of work being a 9-5 thing that you do outside your home. So being told to "get off my backside" almost every day is not exactly the environment I want to be in when working on my sites and getting brilliant new clients!

I will be moving out soon - Just need to get around 1,000 more subscribers to my services, so I can travel and practice kendo! =)

Victoria, have you tried EFT, mudras or acupressure? I have a friend who used to have cluster headaches, and these techniques helped him a lot. No side effects, and you can always use them, even if you're stuck in traffic

Some of my friends simply drop in without checking if I have time first. I'm at home, right, so what's the big deal? They're very difficult to train, too. It's always "on the way" somewhere, well it usually is as they leave a few blocks away from me.

You're tell them you're busy, but trying to be polite offer a quick cup of coffee, and half an hour later you're still listening to a very detailed description of their argument with a neighbour over their rubbish bin.

Give me patience, oh Lord, but hurry!

Sit them down and tell you love them, you enjoy seeing them but this time is blocked off for work.

If they don't respect that don't answer the door (or the phone) until that work period is over.

You're right, Kevin. My problem was: my priorities went all wrong. In a way, it was more important to me to please my friends than have my work done.

It was only when I discovered Voice Dialogue, and especially since I became a facilitator, that I'm aware of what havoc our - well meaning - subpersonalities, like Inner Pleaser, Inner Pusher, or Inner Critic can create in our lives.

I use this technique in my coaching and it helps with feeling of lack of control and unproductive day as well

Charlotte, I found that sometimes, when everything seems to go wrong, the best thing you can do is grab a exercise book, lock yourself in the loo, and write all the positive things that you have happening in your life right now, things that your grateful for, like healthy children, freedom, roof above your head, your sense of humour, friends, ice-cream in the fridge, new fabric you just bought, quiet neighbours, Warrior Forum, good weather – oh sorry, wrong one

You can make another list – write down all your successes – you have so many skills, you’ve learned things that some other people don’t know, you’ve just finished something despite all that mess, and don’t forget successes from years ago, even if it sounds ridiculous: you’ve learned how to walk, how to talk, how to tie your shoelaces, how to eat, make tea, boil an egg, write, paint – you have a long trail of accomplishments behind you, why should something little like “I want a cracker” stop you now? You’ll need a BIG exercise book, girl

It may be as well that your body or your mind is out of balance, tired or needs time and space to step back and have a little rest. Maybe you push yourself too much?

I went to an Abraham-Hicks workshop a year ago, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, watch this, it helped me and many other people, I hope you’ll find it as fascinating.
          Enjoy

I like listening to her but I never though about it, Charlotte. Here's what I found on their website:
Esther was a girl from a small Rocky Mountain town who "never really thought about things too deeply," content simply to watch the world go by and naturally inclined to appreciate it.
About Jerry and Esther Hicks and the Law of Attraction
      They have
      A Synopsis of Abraham-Hicks' Teachings
      on the same page.
Their books are great, especially "The Vortex". And the videos
Abraham's Law of Attraction and Getting Into The Vortex Video Clips Library
But there's nothing, absolutely nothing better than joining their workshop. Wait, going on a cruise with them would be better
that's what the workshops look like (you really have to be there)

      I'm glad you like them.

Are you feeling any better now?
