So ... according to Accuweather, NYC and other states are getting another powerful storm system that's sure to bring us to our knees... and someone said that we're looking at a 2 or 3 day storm system.

Really? Why?! What did we ever do to Mother Nature?

OMG...I'm totally sick of winter. The snow on the sidewalk is to the top of my mailbox already! There really is no place for it to go at this point.

I'm not used to this crap anymore. Living right on the coast, we tend to get snow...then it melts....then we get more snow...then it melts...etc. It rarely piles up more than a couple feet but this year is ridiculous as we keep getting a foot or more at a time since Christmas. Only had two days warm enough to start melting some and then it was back to more snow.

      UGH!

The snow doesn't bother me as much as the extreme cold afterwards....

I've got two new grandbabies up the road from you in NH I haven't gotten my hands on yet...

Thats going to have to wait till spring...

What's strange this year is the city and the coast is getting what we usually get up here by Albany. We are getting the snow, after the first storm I had a 4 ft. snow drift at my back door. But these last few storms where you all are getting hammered, we are getting flurries or an inch or two at best.
Still we have close to 4 ft. on the ground.

That's kinda cool. That might be a niche to look into, considering this crazy weather. I live on top of a hill also... it will be driving my rear wheel drive car!

Hard winter this year, isn't it? Time to go outside and do some fun stuff?

      Tina,

I see it says you're in Massachusetts... I sympathize. Your mailbox? That's about 4 feet right?

The city is on its knees right now, and the mayor is getting flack for poor work on part of the Sanitation system, but I've seen some plowing and their plows can't even get the snow out of the way. I'm seriously considering shoveling buckets into a sink or tub and letting it melt away! A blowtorch went through my fantasies, but it would only create deadly ice.

LOL, Fernando, I am not interested in snow! I'll just let this fuel me to work harder on IM! The job that works when nobody else does!

"Hard winter" and "go outside and do some fun stuff"? Those two things simply do not go together. I'm more like a bear - hibernate until spring.

Lovely home. I suspect the neighbors aren't complaining about the decorations. I know one person who has a huge globe on their property.

Thank you! I am about 60 miles northwest of NYC. We get hit like this every few years. I prefer the winters with, say, one doozy storm and that's it. If the most current storm stays on track, they say a possible 2-day snow storm hitting a LOT of areas, including mine

I am getting cabin fever myself. The snow hasn't even been the packing kind where at least my son and I can build a snowman!

But it is a good kind for the ski resorts... they seem to be flourishing this year. They needed it...

We can't get our Christmas lawn decorations put away. We've had snow on the ground since December and temps have not gotten above around 35 F (and in fact have been around 20 F or so for a while).

Stay warm everybody! It looks beautiful but I can only imagine all the pain!

I guess nobody feels sorry for us here on the Left Coast because it gets as cold as 30F degrees at night. Weird though, up to 70F in the daytime last week.

Right now it is very foggy until the sun burns it off.

    whimper whine...

(I'd rather be cold than hot any day!)
