Played guitar for 21 years, now switched to Bass. I perform in 2 bands and record music as well.

I've played guitar for 35 years...OUCH...kind of wish I had just guessed instead of actually figuring it up....

I took classical for awhile but mostly play acoustic sing along stuff now.

I think playing the guitar and writing songs has saved my sanity many times.

I used to be a guitar addict. Literally took my guitar with me everywhere I went. Unfortunately, I messed up my right index finger a few years ago in a work accident and that was the end of that.
Maybe wasn't such a bad thing, though. If I were still playing, I wouldn't be able to focus on my other big love: IM.
I do miss it though.

I've been playing piano since '95, and have done a little professional songwriting. Also got my degree with a major in music. I can manage a few notes on a bass guitar, and I used to play flute, too.

So I love music... but obviously it's not a great business to be in unless you can make it really fly with IM.

We were broken up for about 17 years, but we got back together through Facebook.

Guitar, bass, and keyboards. Made my living at it for 15 years, and taught for 13 of those. Still play for fun today, and little by little acquired a nice project studio.

I used to play the guitar and write songs. Haven't played in quite a few years, but have been thinking about taking it back up lately. I was never that good of a guitar player, but wrote some decent lyrics.

Ya got one here: Singer, Songwriter, Musician, Teacher. My main instrument is Guitar and I play/teach several others. Playing covers is fun....but in my opinion, Creating original music is where it's really at! ;-)

  I've been playing guitar and bass for a while, and "dabble" with a few other instruments. Went to audio engineering school back in 2002/2003... here's a couple songs I recorded from a band I was in at the time, shortly after learning bass. We used a drum machine for the first one, lol.

I play guitar (just for pleasure). Electric and acoustic, and I usually finger-pick (i.e. no plectrum) on both in a sort of hybrid Travis-picking/claw-hammer style (similar to Mark Knopfler - hence my forum username ), unless I'm playing straight rhythm. Have played for about 9 years.

I have 5 guitars (my two main electrics being a 1987 Gibson Les Paul in ebony, which I use for heavier stuff, and a customised Fender Stratocaster in sunburst with all single-coils, which I use for cleaner, chirpier stuff).

Hoping to get a red MK signature strat, too, in the not-too-distant future, but there's more pressing stuff demanding of my money at the moment.

And I have a couple of Irish tin whistles on order, too. Loves me some celtic music.
