say i can generate passive income via IM... do you think that's secure in the long-term, as far as economical and legal structures not changing too much in this regard?

It can be, but you really must KNOW, not THINK, you can do it.

    Marketing is EVERYTHING.

What I mean by this is that EVERY key to success is tied to marketing in some form or fashion because everything you do that involves other people boils down two words: "yes" or "no"

    The marriage proposal
    The job interview
    The Resume
The product you decide to buy at the supermarket
    The product you buy online
The college you decided to go to
    Politics
The date or phone number you got
The success of a product, a startup, a company
The reason its important to make a quality product
    Who you know
    How much money you make

    Ect... ect... ect...

Marketing is the industry of getting people to say "Yes". It is an indestructible industry. Even exists in Nazi Germany!

Internet marketing is no different. As long as there is the Internet, there will be internet marketing.

The real question you mean to ask is: Is the practice of Internet Marketing sustainable after a post-Americana Economic Collapse.
The answer to that is... No.

Yeah you could invest overseas, trade in Yen, and convert here. However if things are bad enough you have to remember the economic state of your trading partners will be ****. My suggestion: Move to Hong Kong.

There will be a LOT of "new" laws and new laws created! HOW do I know? It ALWAYS happens, and HAS been happening HERE!

    "new" laws?
codifying laws regarding disclaimers, privacy statements, hacking, reviews, compensation, etc....

    NEW laws?
Sales tax, treating an affiliate as a presence, etc....

Did you know that, at least in nevada, even having a corporation there does NOT give one a legal presence! I got that STRAIGHT from someone working for the state of nevada in that capacity! INCREDIBLE! I thought it WOULD!

After all, a corporation is a PERSON under the law and a nevada corporation HAS to have a PHYSICAL presence in nevada! If you don't actually have an OFFICE there, you need a "resident agent", and they often provide an office in some capacity if you need it. With all THAT, nevada STILL doesn't consider it a presence for tax purposes! INCREDIBLE! STILL, an affiliate in a given state may give you a presence! So you DON'T need to charge sales tax! INCREDIBLE!
