He should milk his "fame" for every thing he can, while he can.

In a couple of years his fan base (teenage girls) are going to be young women and will distance themsleves from anything "teen".

They will be replaced by a new group of teen girls who will have their own "object of desire", so he will be consigned to the "where are they now" file.

It's been happening ever since music became an industry.

    Next.

My three year old daughter love Justin Bieber and she wants to see the movie but I am not sure that it will hold her interest.

It will probably be something that I rent rather than going to see in the cinema.

I don't think that he is as bad as everyone makes him out to be but I would not be rushing out to buy an album either. However I do like the song "Pray". I was actually just listening to it when I read this thread.

No way this guy is a jumped up little brat who has got too big for his boots.

Good on him for making it big but as for acting well i think he should concentrate on his voice breaking as he sounds like one of the chipmunks.

ok so the kid sings well good but he's a spoiled little brat who became famous over night and got celebrity stroke.(a celebrity stroke is when a person who becomes famous starts to believe that he/she's the best person in the world, the only person in the world and that the Universe spins around him/her) Wrong one Bieber, try again. The only thing spinning around you are a couple of 12 year old virgins who got brain washed ok?Don't worry son, in ten years time(maybe 5 if we're lucky, they'll all forget about you and you'll just become a junkie in another prison cell)
Note to viewers:this message is not intended to insult Justin's fans, just making public my frustration as an adult that i had to work a lot to earn something in life and this little adolescent has it all.

He is not an "overnight sensation". My understanding is that he started playing music when he was a toddler.

But why be a hater just because he's successful?

In fact, I am not a fan either, but all of the hatred being hurled in his direction makes me ill. If people don't like him, that's fine, but calling him names is the height of immaturity - I certainly wouldn't consider it adult behavior.

I don't plan on seeing the movie, but I have seen him on the talk show circuit promoting it, and you know what? He actually seems like a pretty nice kid - NOT a "spolied little brat". Wish I could say the same thing about people who spew their vitriol his way.

      All the best,

Well said Michael. I couldn't agree more.

I don't like his music personally, but he's played the road to fame very well indeed. In fact if I recall correctly, he got his start by making videos on YouTube. Talk about the power of viral marketing! I commend the kid, plus he just got a new haircut and is in a commercial with Ozzy, so I'll cut him some slack

Well, I happened to turn the channel to ellen JUST as he was on. She said that he did so much amazing stuff that it is hard to know what he CAN'T do. She said she bet he could speak french, and he did, and she asked how. He spoke quickly, and I didn't catch it all, but I am pretty sure he said he speaks french that well because he is french canadian. They then went through a stupid little challenge which, of course, ellen won. Since her rules were NOT compliant with standard hockey, he asked to try that again, and said he couldn't have people thinking he couldn't score a goal in hockey. That was when I changed the channel.

He seems like a nice guy, but this is about as much as I know about him. Yesterday, coincidently, I looked up the shakira song "Gypsy". Shakira and selena Gomez sung a partial duet and TOGETHER, they just sounded GREAT! Sadly, it was a leadin to a comedic sketch, so I guess they never did it all the way. 8-( I looked it up to see if they had. But I DID find that selena and justin Beiber were together for a while, and some girls threatened selena's life! You know how youtube can be with such ties.

OK, that is probably EVERYTHING I know about him, other than he is a singer, who I don't think I ever heard sing, and an actor, that I have never seen act, and who some girls love SO much that they even copy his HAIRSTYLE! I saw that on some news program.

As for "Never say Never"? MAYBE in 4 years or so I will see it when it hits TV, in PARTS!

    alexzman,

Why fault JUSTIN? HEY, there are the olsen twins! There are the Sprouse twins! And the Sprouse twins are not as well off as the olsen twins BUT, at one point, they were in business together!

But HEY! I don't know much about the sprouses. The olsen twins don't really seem to be bad. HEY, how about ms Destiny? OH, you never heard of HER? SHE may be richer than justin and the sprouses put together. She used to smile a lot, so they called her smiley.

Alas, that wa too complicated, so they shortened it to Miley. YEP, Miley Cyrus, aka HANNA MONTANA! Surprisingly, the series was NOT made for her. He tried out for it and was REJECTED because she was one year too young. They decided that with her talent, they should accept her SO, a year later, they modified it and took her AND her father!

Miley is not the greatest, but what about Lindsay lohan? What about brittany spears? But HEY, there are MUCH older ones I could name that I HATE! They deserve to be on SKID ROW! At least one of them WAS rumored to be there! SERIOUSLY!

BTW SPOILED means that they EXPECT IT, and DEMAND IT. BRAT basically means they have NO manners and treat all as being below them. I don't know that much about bieber, but I don't think he is a spoiled brat, at least not yet.

      Hi Steve,

I beg to differ sorry, he might come across as a nice sweet and innocent guy but i've heard some stories over this way that he has gotten far too big for his boots in such a little time, stories of shouting at reporters for touching his arm, stories that he swears at photographers when snapping him.

For me he has been casted as this sensation which in fairness to all his young girly fans he probably is but for mehe's just the latest in a long line of kids who'll hit it big for a couple of years and then move on.

You might be totally right, BUT.... Shouting at reporters for touching your arm is NOTHING! I get VERY angry at such garbage. So he yelled. BIG DEAL! UNDERSTANDABLE! And the same may be true of the photographers snapping him. Don't forget, the media often acts like THIEVES and CRIMINALS! It IS criminal to use bugs, secret cameras on, or even THROUGH, others private property, etc...

When a photographer can in a SECOND tell you if a woman many YARDS away isn't wearing panties under her skirt, you probably have a problem. And with bieber and serena? Was THAT secret? Probably! Those photographers put her life at risk, and hurt some of his appeal! Why shouldn't he be mad?

For me he has been casted as this sensation which in fairness to all his young girly fans he probably is but for mehe's just the latest in a long line of kids who'll hit it big for a couple of years and then move on.
You're right. Almost ANY kid could get airtime, etc... Simple things that a 2yo may do that could make money and drive their careers may embarass and destroy a 10yo! Look at the olsen twins! They got that job for TWO reasons!

    1. They were twins.
    2. One didn't cry when handled.

SERIOUSLY, THAT is how they got the job! The twins is to allow time around photo shoots to comply with US laws regarding child labor. They LOVE twins! The bit about being handled was just appreciated by someone high up on "full house". He even credited THAT with his making the decision.

LATER, they had like one line practically, "You got it dude", or something similar. Would that get them ANYWHERE today? THEY had a lawyer that tried to set them up for life, so they have been in almost every kid related or female related industry, etc... So they don't even have to act or get residuals from acting to make a fortune today. Maybe bieber has done, or will do, similar things.

I think part of it stems from the bubble gum pop he permeates airwaves with. I realize he probably doesn't have much say in what goes into creating the song, so we really should be pointing fingers at his songwriters, I suppose. But when someone's songs get played and overplayed and played to the death, you tend to begin hating the face of the music.

But wouldn't the better option be to just TURN THE STATION?

However, I do get your point. There are a lot of classic rock songs that I used to like, but will usually turn off when they are played on the radio.

And if you REALLY want to point fingers, point them at the program directors of the conglomerate radio stations that decide what we hear. After all, it doesn't matter who's singing or writing if it doesn't get played.

          Rock on!

Oh, I do. I'm just talking about when I don't have control over the station - at a store, seeing him on mags, when someone else I'm with is controlling the station, etc. Sometimes ya just have to put up with it. But I guess it could be worse.

HEY, I have seen LOTS of people on magazines I don't like. SOME I know things about that almost nobody else does. Like the time I saw a guy LAUDED for "creating" companies, etc.... and being so great at business and so ethical. And I know he only "created" ONE of those companies. He pushed it into being and got others to finance it, but did NOTHING else other than pushing it to go NATIONAL, and pushed it into BANKRUPTCY! He then cheated MANY, including ME, stole assets which got him a cushey job, etc... Now does THAT sound like an ethical guy? How about the guy that OPENLY tells everyone that he is FOR the inheritance tax, and became a multibillionare by buying up companies that the heirs couldn't afford the tax on! HE has been on quite a few covers.

And I could speak of the woman that frankly I think is ugly, and was on a series as an ugly duckling type character. And people talk like she is pretty. Maybe they like her help elsewhere, who knows. YECH...

As for the stores, etc... maybe I never noticed. As for being worse? You bet it could! I once complained at a store. *****AT A STORE*****! That they were playing a rendition of "brother can you spare a dime"! That was a DEPRESSION SONG! Here is a somewhat UPBEAT rendition!
Basically, he is saying he worked HARD, built a LOT, and now has NOTHING, and is begging on the street to try to get a little more than bread! That is enough to buy two of those apples!

It goes even further than than the radio stations. In the end its the stupidity of the public for making him so big. Though I suspect his fans are very young.

Oh well who cares in the end, but I do find him very annoying and definitely didn't deserve to get his song number 1.

I agree with others in that calling Justin Bieber names is very immature. I don't listen to his music, but I'm not going to start acting all high and mighty because I don't listen to it. If certain people enjoy listening to him, then good for them. I'm not gonna judge someone based on the music they listen to.

Yeah, he IS at the age where even TWEENS are interested. I mean when girls tell other girls that they will kill a person not much older because a guy they love, that they may never even really meet, likes her, you know SOMETHING is wrong. She may be "older", but it is only about 2 years older. And when I say ABOUT, I mean she might only be a day past 1 year older! STILL, most people that get married have a bigger disparity in ages. But my mother is 2 years older than my father!

But HE is not really responsible. HE is not doing any harm. HE seems like a nice guy. So why fault HIM?

And YEAH, I HATE that I am still struggling to retire. As the US economy gets worse, if my investments go up 20%, it is STILL a net LOSS! And HE probably made enough to retire on his first major deal. OH WELL. I have known people that HAVE harmed, did LESS work, and made MORE money. Some even robbed ME!
