I will not sell my health.

I will forget my business when I leave my office.

My home shall be a place of rest and high thinking and peace not a mere annex to my factory or office, where the talk is of nothing but gains and loss.

Get money but stop once in a while to figure what it is costing you to get it.

The fool gives his life.
Those are the lines which stood out for me in an article I read recently.

Rezbi I am agree with you some how.
But what you will say if a person is not earning much to survive then is it possible for him to not to think about gain and loss at home ?
Certainly not. Money is not every thing WE know that but for a successful life AND to reach that stage where you will be able to take rest after your office, you have to work hard....

      Talha,
While I agree it's important to work hard, I know from bitter experience that it's not necessary... and absolutely vital... that we don't almost kill ourselves in the process.

Working long hours and working hard don't always equate to the same thing.

I like that article.. especially the part about making sure your home is separate from your work. I am young so I don't have a family yet, so it's easy for me to fall into the trap of thinking about / working on IM when I should be being social / doing other things.

What Drayton Bird said about this article:

Bruce Barton was one of the most extraordinary men who ever wrote copy. What a terrific piece.
