    Well, the comment about sigfried and roy is STUPID! Those tigers weren't setup to be pets to live with. The people KNEW that could happen and, as I recall, there was an accident that startled the tigers. That said though, tigers may play, and she may get hurt. She may startle the tiger. She may use noxious chemicals, such as nail polish, hair spray, perfume. She may get near another animal or whatever and the tiger can react, etc....

    The fact is that they can't communicate with the tiger, and the tiger will act like a tiger. Sleeping with such a big and dangerous animal is DUMB! As for the tiger having small teeth, they are more likely to bite, and probably stronger, etc... Heck, a hundred pound tiger could EASILY attack a 200pound man that is like all muscle. How much easier could it attack her?

    I think it would be best if they had some large habitat that they could put the tiger in, like a nice big room. They could probably make it nice, keep the tiger happy and healthy, etc... If she keeps sleeping with the cat, and she EVEN gets a noticable scratch, people may call for killing the tiger. I won't be among them, but it always happens!

    I don't think it's a good idea for this teen to be sleeping with a potentially dangerous animal and her parents should have known better. Even if it means they have been training wild animals for years, you can never have control over animal instincts. Besides, what's the use of bonding with the tiger if he'll still eventually be released in the wild again? I just hope the parents will think twice to exposing their kid to any possible dangers.

      Plenty of people have raised wild animals, only to be killed or maimed by them, including tigers. Pet tigers have proved over and over how they can snap even after years of perfect behavior. "Fatal Attraction" is a new show all about this.

        When the tiger turns one year old, he will be returned to the other tigers
        The tiger is a cub - not yet sexually mature nor territorial. Siegfried and Roy slept with their various tigers for many years - and the only accident was the one on stage (which they always said was not an attack). In fact, they were convinced the tiger was trying to protect him from someone in the audience who moved forward.

        Animal handlers often have young cubs living in their homes to socialize and train them. This is done with the large cats, bears and I've even seen a documentary of a rhino who lived inside when young.The danger comes when it is not a handler who understands the animal or when someone treats an adult wild predator like a pet.
