    1920 (Bollywood Movie), the performance was plainly superior despite of fact of new comers. Loved the storyline, loved the concept and yet loved the direction at the very end though .

    I have been a horror movie buff for as long as I can remember.
    In fact, my best friend since childhood has been a horror host on several TV station since he was 16. And I have been privileged to work with him on many of his shows.

    There are so many great ones from so many different genres it's impossible for me to pick just one.
    But, I have always been a huge fan of the great classics.
    The original King Kong
    The Bride of Frankenstein
    Then some of the later ones:
    Poltergeist
    The Exorcist (Scared the beegeezes out of me).
    The Horror Of Dracula
    The Changling
    Ghost Story
    13 Ghosts.
    The Shining
    Only to name a few.
    Not a big fan of simple gore. Jason or Michael do nothing for me.
    Freddie Kruger could have been among the classics if they hadn't used him for teen drive-in shock flicks.

      My favorite horror movies of all time were probably made before most of you
      guys were born. (few exceptions). Not a big fan of the modern age stuff. It's
      just rip your head, arms, legs, body off and that's pretty much it. It's mindless
      and it's for a mindless audience. Sure I've ruffled quite a few feathers with that
      comment.

      Anyway, here are my favorites. Not a big list

      Frankenstein (1931)
      Bride of Frankenstein (1935)
      Dracula (1931)
      The Wolf Man (1941)
      The Invisible Man (1933)
      House On Haunted Hill (1959)
      Night Of The Living Dead (1968)
      Halloween (1978)

      And honestly, Halloween is on the list ONLY because of the musical score
      which is easily the creepiest of all time. The movie itself, without it, borders
      on Canned Film Festival material. I mean it was REALLY hokey.

      Anyway, that's my list. It isn't much. But these movies I could watch over
      and over again. The stuff that they've made in the last 40 years has been
      a big disappointment and it all started with...

      The Exorcist (1973)

      The movie was one long pea soup spitting piece of crap. That's not horror.
      That's not suspense. That's just "let's shock the hell out of the audience
      with as many 4 letter words, spinning heads, and pea soup as we can" crap.

      Yeah, seeing it as a kid, seeing her head spin around was cool. Actually kind
      of funny to me. But today, I laugh at the movie because of how stupid it is
      and not because of how good it is.

      We don't know how to do horror anymore folks.

      All we know how to do is rip off arms, legs and heads.

      It's pretty sad if you ask me.
