Need Help....Any Way We Could Meet Up?
This is part of a huge story I don't want to go into, so please don't try and read too much into this, though I do thank you in advance.
For the past 16 months, I have been in the process of 'getting evicted'. No, I'm not in any trouble...yet, but it's now crunch time...and wouldn't you know it, the first kink in my plans has arrived.
A week ago Monday, I got a hernia while snowblowing my driveway. As of right now, I am limited to 15 lbs and am waiting for an appointment to General Surgery so they can evaluate and schedule corrective surgery.
And at the same time, I need to move from my current residence so the estate people can come in and remove items not belonging to me, and clean and shiny up the place for new owners. Yes, I said owners...read the red disclamer above.
Now I'm a pretty tough cookie, but even at that, I know my limitations...so I need some strong backs, arms, and legs (a truck can help, but not necessary) to get my personal belongings out of this house and fast!
So I talked to Paul, got an idea from him, and decided to do a Help Floyd Move/Warrior Meet Up event to get this done.
Since I'm on a tight schedule, I've need to start this on this Saturday, March 5, at 1PM at the Duncan Doughnuts at the corner of Route 11 and Bear Rd in Cicero, New York. From there, we will caravan out to my house (which is a couple of blocks away), and begin packing my belongins up in my minivan. After it's packed, I will drive the minivan (some of you will need to follow me in your cars) over to the new house on Richmond Ave in Syracuse, where we will unpack, and then return to the house to begin the cycle again.
This cycle will go on until about 7PM, then we will switch gears and goto the Twin Trees Pizza parlor on Rt 11 in Cicero to begin the meetup session. Food is free, nonalcoholic drins are free..the only limitation is I will only pay for one alcholic drink for those who are of age and desire one (this is not because I'm cheap...I don't want any drunk drivers on my conscience is all). This is a thank you for all your help, so don't be ashamed to take me up on this!
To pull this off, I need to make reservations at Twin Trees, so please reply to this thread and let me know if you can come by this Friday March 4th. Again, thanks for your help.
PS: If you bring a truck to help move, I'll gladly pay for the gas.
