How do you divide (say) your budget or time between online marketing and offline marketing efforts?

I think I'd start off small in both areas. I'd code my marketing campaigns so that I could measure the results they were getting and I'd then focus more of my resources on the successful campaigns. I'd tweak all the campaigns to try and increase their success rates, ultimately ditching the unsuccessful ones. It's a continuous process.

Note: I've not done it, it's just the way I think I'd go.

Online marketing is good when you business covers globe. If you are selling your product on your website then online is the best way for marketing. If your product is related to local area mostly then off line marketing is the best option. Online marketing require less money and man power while off line needs both more. Impact on your business is totally dependent on products and strategy.
