In Roman mythology, Caca is the sister of the Cacus, the son of Hephaestus. A minor character in the trials of Heracles, in some versions of the tales, she is mentioned as telling Heracles where her brother had hidden 8 cattle he had stolen from Heracles. ...who was first cousin to the oft maligned Hemorrhoidius..
who in turn was great Uncle to Commodius the Vitreous , the inventor of the pay toilet...Caca and Cacus, both of whom traveled westward to Spain to find the 8 hidden cattle...were found wandering, half mad from cow disease in the Spanish desert...they could only point eastward back towards Rome and say Caca...The Spanish misinterpreting that as meaning thank you or Gracias as is better known... adopted the saying "caca".
To this day many villages in southeastern Spain..when done a small favor..will simply utter,
      "Oh... caca!"

So it means thank you in South Southeastern Castilian Spanish.

The a fore mentioned story taken verbatim from Crapapedia

I hope this post will be helpful someone

Yeaah, I don't remember caca meaning ANYTHING! Though dictionaries DO say it means S*t. Maybe that is one of those words that seems to be around a ******VERY***** long time like problem or no. Or like 23 or so letters in the latin alphabet.(As I recall, some alphabets don't have all the english letters. But SOME, like danish, added more.) It's a pity they didn't standardize the pronounciation. 8-(

      Muchas cacas to you both...

Actually, the first two sentences are from wikipedia...
which goes to show that Roman mythology is at least partially, full of caca.
The part starting at Hemorrhoidius is just urban myth...started, as far as my research goes...in Southeastern Spain...
Where he is cursed whenever the locals sit down to tell the myth...

In Irish cac means s**t and where I am from its passed on from that except that its spelled cack.

The answers posted here seem pretty consistent!
