My god the script was pure vomit

What a waste of excellent effects and war scenes - I would have loved this film if I was 13 years old. But anybody under 16 or so probably cant watch this dumb film anyway.

I eagerly anticipate real steel and robopacalypse - the later may even have a sprinkling of intellect.

      I actually loved it as well as anyone else I knew that went and saw it. It was filmed to make it seem "raw" and in your face vs something like Independence Day.

    I assume you're talking about "Battle LA", with Aaron Eckhart?

    It made me want to watch Hurt Locker again!

    There's actually a B-Movie version called "Battle of LA" which is so bad it's funny, in the same vein as Mega Piranha!

    Battle LA with Eckhart was great. I wish it could've been a bit longer, but I like it a lot. Now, Skyline was garbage. Great effects but that's where it ended. No plot really, bad dialogue, and acting was so-so to bad.

    If you play first-person-shooter games or not, you'll like this movie for it's urban combat environment. I mean, I was breathing hard just sitting there during some scenes...LOL.

      Bingo... seems people that were disappointed in the film were the ones (like the "professional reviewers") whom were expecting a blockbuster like film styled like Independence Day. Some people also complained how they didn't really show the action going on in other cities except for blurbs here and there... I think that was smart or it would have had the film jumping around like crazy.

      They purposely filmed the movie the way they did to give it a "raw like your right there" feel to it, which imo they pulled off.

      Now Skyline... that movie was flat garbage.

    I didn't see skyline - the reviews were just too bad - but I did see a 2:5 for battle for LA which due to the script I feel was justified.
