Paul - I think it is you who once posted this cool Warrior Forum No Whining sign - you know with the red, crossed out circle like no smoking?

I know I posted it after I 'borrowed' it from one of your threads but I can't find it now. (crime doesn't pay).

Please post it again...

$5 charge for whining? If that was actually enforced, the forum's income from "whining fees" would surpass the WSO fees.

Some people are regular whino's..., but Ive done been through Pauls WA (Whiners Anonymous Rehabilitation) program lol. I must tell you, it werent pretty, and there was only one step (getting booted) but it got the monkey off my back!

Its a thirty day program. I must also say you dont get many pep talks nor personal attention with the program, but it does fix the problem.

      Im cured.

[chuckle] Far too close to the truth, I suspect.

I had adopted that line from a sign I bought for my kitchen, years before I heard this song from Chris Ledouxthis song from Chris Ledoux .

Yes, that Chris Ledoux. He of "worn out tape" and "Good ride, cowboy" fame.

I had a buddy of mine back in the eighties who was a pro bull rider turn me on to Chris Ledoux long before I had ever heard him on the radio.

        Those guys really worshiped him.

          Bill,

They still do. And I understand that. He ranks up there with Miles Davis and Billie Holiday on my favorites list.

I got my first album of his almost by accident. I was at an auction and saw a box with a bunch of cassettes and CDs. Probably 100, all told, mostly country. I noticed a tape titled "Whatcha gonna do with a cowboy," and remembered the lines from the Garth Brooks song.

Worn out tape of Chris Ledoux,
          lonely women and bad booze,
seem to be the only friends I've left at all.

I bought the whole box just to get that tape and see what he was about. Best money I've ever spent on music, and I've spent a bunch. When I get too many cobwebs in the brain and want to figure something out, I get in the car and drive out to a spot south of here with a long view and just listen to some Chris.

          Hasn't failed me yet.

I wrote a song that I posted on another thread here that was meant to be pitched to Chris. Loved him. Still do.
