As idiotic as Paris Hilton trying to trademark "that's hot" and Donald Trump trying to trademark "you're fired". The fact that IP and trademark laws would even allow something like this is disturbing. Why don't I just trademark "I love you" and then sue everyone who says or writes it in every media in existence.

If this gets out of control, we'll have to worry about everything that ever comes out of our mouths as being potentially grounds for a lawsuit.

Hmm - I think we're already 95% there. Any time you say anything someone disagrees with they are "offended". Tough crap, eh? LOL

Not sure how they can trademark these prhases - they might be able to trademark the name of a domain or company - but they would have a hard time striking a suit on people who used the phrasese in everyday language. - You'd just have to avoid company and domain names that are "sound alikes".
It's already that way so don't understand what is new in this one.

You know I was solidly in his camp in the beginning of his downhill slide in recent days.

However NotSoMuch now that I saw an interview where I see he is a megalomaniac.

Arrogance is intolerable enough but then I always liked Insolence and he had plenty -- but he said a number of things that were indicative of complete insanity in thinking he is just 'to die for' and far superior to anyone else.

This is not drugs that did that - but his character - drugs just bring it all out in front. It can be more or less permanent even after you stop doing them.

Notsomuch. Charlie, get a major clue, you are not all that.

Maybe you can trademark that but WhoNeedsIt?

I thought he was a fool from the start of this - but he's going to milk it for everything it's worth. His comedy show is top notch as much due to the supporting cast as to Sheen.

I don't blame it on anything except an over-inflated ego that built to epic proportions and fell out of his mouth. Maybe he should trademark "verbal vomitus" as well.

While not defending Charlie in any way....he's not doing any more than a lot of the people in this very forum. Trademarking words.

A LOT of what you see is an act.

Having grown up in L.A. and ending up doing a lot of work (construction) on the westside, I have run into and met a lot of 'stars'.

Some are nice, some are asses, but the most amazing thing to watch in person, is how they can turn on and off these 'acts', like we turn on tap water. Just stick a camera in front of em.

Every star of his caliber has a massive money machine around them, lawyers, pr people, etc... I would hazard to guess this wasn't even his idea.

I know for a fact that a lot of people would be shocked at who's really an ass and who isn't.

        Thaaaaaaat's showbiz.

That is why I prefer not to meet celebrities. When they turn out to be golden turds, it can be harder to enjoy movies or music that they're part of.

You have that right Tbird, there are times I have sat and watched a movie and just thought that guy/girl... what a J/ass, it kind of ruins it.

Most of whom I speak of, were younger celebs..the 'older' ones still had an air of ...well..class, about them. A lot of times it's the wives/girlfriends..with the huuuge sense of entitlement.

One thing I found out some time ago is that they are just human and have there own unique problems going on, just like everyone else.

The last time I named a boob by name here, the thread got deleted.

I will tell you one guy you can watch and know he had class...was Ricardo Montalban...when I think class and celebs..he's always the first to come to my mind. What a genuinely nice man he was.

Jack Palance was surly on the outside, but a good man, when he found out my mom was dying he even went to visit her in the hospital.

            I could go on but I won't...

That's just getting out and about in L.A. you know.

(Haha) I'm not sure what's happening on Planet Charlie Sheen these days but I still think those “catchphrases” are hilarious.

    (I hope he's doing good.)
