I thought this would be an interesting and fun thread...

What music/bands do you listen to while you're working at your computer?

P.S. If it's country then don't waste WF bandwidth by replying

My current ones in order of frequency:

Red Hot Chili Peppers
Sublime
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Zen/meditation type stuff
Rebecca Black/Justin Bieber/Milli Vanilli playlist (if anyone wants this one I'll send it you)

I frequently just turn on EVE Radio (Linky: Welcome to Eve Radio, radio plays automatically once the page loads). They play a nice mix of trance, rock, and metal. Though they have a bunch of talkshow type stuff happening which won't make any sense to you if you don't play EVE (which you should be, Internet Spaceships MMO = awesome).

I also have all of the soundtracks from the Matrix Trilogy, which works surprisingly well when programming.

Aside from that, I've got about 1500 songs on my computer from various artists, mostly metal, trance, and industrial (Ramstein).

I can't believe I forgot trance- trance is definitely my guilty pleasure. Rammstein is always good as well.

    I chuckled a bit.

Lately I've been listening to Podcasts over music. Mainly, podcasts from the "TWiT" network / Leo Laporte. (The TWiT Netcast Network with Leo Laporte) It's good background noise. Though if I'm writing something or need to focus I usually shut it off.

    wow... dudes!
I thought I was the crazy one listening Rammstein, Iron Maiden and Astral Projection.
They kinda don't go together for the general population.
I will definitely check the Eve radio.

I listen to radio as well.
It's either rockradio1.com or trance radio at shoutcast.
And classics. George Bizet rocks. Well... He "classics'es"

I have about 1,000 songs in my iTunes, organized into too many playlists, and if I get bored with that, I have about 40 stations on Pandora.

And about half of it is country. :p

When I listen to music while I'm working online, I usually keep it to instrumentals. I tend to get caught up in the music and forget to work otherwise.

Jazz and zydeco and some classical are my choices when I'm writing or working on sites. Also some brain wave cd's that are good for background sounds.

Chili Peppers (looking forward to new album in couple months)
        Jane's Addiction
        SRV
        Reggae channel (Directv)
        Ronnie Earl
        Nine Inch Nails
        Nirvana
        Alice in Chains

Throw in a little baroque classical and some Charlie Parker jazz.......and even some Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys.

Wow, didn't realize my tastes were so diverse (but still no Polka)

All coming through a vintage Sansui/Pioneer/JBL hi fi.....(hey, a niche idea)

I always have the music or radio off when I do things online.

Some days when I need a small mental relaxation and recharge, I listen to a radio station here in Toronto called 99.9FM.

    They have great music.

I listen to an odd mix of punk and Broadway. When I start falling asleep from the Broadway I switch to Punk for about an hour. Every so often disney songs pop in and I make my daughter change it back. She 2 1/2 and knows how to put on her pandora station from the tv, blueray, and computers. I thinking of putting her to work on my site, but i think child labor is still illegal =P

I find music and copywriting incompatible. But if I need a break, I pick up a guitar andf make my own.
