      Indubitably ...

So nice to quetch and reminisce in such an erudite manner about matrimonial strife and discourse.

      I feel alleviated.

Well, rooting has several meanings here too, like rooting for the home team, rooting a plant... what's yours? We're British, but I don't recall my parents giving it any other meaning.

Someone I was close to always asked me what I was rooting for because it was not uncommon for me to be rummaging around my "stuff" in search of things. Whenever I think of the word now, I hear his emphasis on it, which makes it funny. You really had to be there.

I did nickname one of my dogs, 'cutie', because she was just soooo 'kewt".

I think she knew it, too, by the way she flaunted herself in front of the male dog.

"Words I like" are mostly because of way the word flows when you say it rather than some deep meaning - and some are cheerful

        existential
        quagmire
        ponderous
        lollipop
        obfuscate
        ginormous
        rickety
        doodlebug
        horsefeathers

When I was a kid I loved the word antidisestablishmentarianism simply because it had more letters than the alphabet. I read too much as a kid! Still do.

Oooooooooooooooooh! Good Ones! "Rickety" its kind of a tinny word isnt it? Whereas "Ponderous" is more of a "woody" word.... you see? "poooooooonderooous..." Woody?

Now I really like the word existential, because it has that powerful woodiness, with a bit of a tinny undertone.... Think of it: "Ex-is-ten--tial...". Yes Nice woody / Tinny blend.... More on the woody side of Course.... we must never be tooo tinny.

For those of you who dont know Im referring to post #26 on this thread. Its hilarious.

    Fart is kinda nice.
Everyone does it even those Pomppous Fheads in DC, heck even the Queen Mum, JFK and Sir Winston C.
They like to pretend they don't. In hoidy toidy events they squeek them out, smile and then quickly leave while blaming another for the foible. Classic politician behavior.
In private they are none too proud to let 'er rip. They aren't something one likes to share, except in the JackAss movies or my house on Burrito Night.

Orgasm is nice too, as everybody wants one.Sharing certainly is highly preferred, but playing an occasional game of Solitaire is not uncommon.

Pah-Tootie is another fave just because it rolls off the tongue.
the F bomb is an old stand-bye but is just too worn and weathered.
I fondly remember "Champipple" from watching Fred Sanford.(Red Fox)

It's from Superman...While I don't remember all details it was a little alien (I think) that was trying to get Superman to say his name backwards (this is where it gets fuzzy) or guess his name.

              Yep, you're pretty much there.

Mr Mxyzptlk was a mischievous imp-like villain from the old Superman DC Comics. He could only be sent back to the 5th dimension by tricking him into saying or spelling his surname backwards.

After I answered I ran it thru search, I swear sometimes wikipedia is the 'greatest thing since sliced bread'...do you believe they actually have a page on that? Mr Mxyzptlk

One of the only reasons I remember that is because of trying for years how to pronounce it. Still don't know.

The reason I like that word is because an older cousin taught me to pronounce it and I went around saying it at every opportunity. (Yes, we had to make our own fun in those days. )

I really am a fan of the word "Granted."

Can change the course of an entire conversation.

"Granted thats true, what about when you just want to do this...."

"Granted, he does have a tough job, I still think he could have called."

"Granted it is getting late, I still think we should hang out somemore."
