If you don't know the Boss 302 is back!!

Though I haven't driven it....yet...I'm told its performance is legendary and everything you'd expect from a car that includes the Trans-Am dominating cars from 1969/70.

Anyway here's a YouTube vid and if anybody has gotten some seat time please do tell!!

That's about the only Ford I ever liked.
I drove one many, many, many, years ago.
I don't remember much about it except it was stupid fast.
There was 3 of us that hung out daily and we would all use each others cars.
The cars where a Boss 302, a Firebird (with a 396 in it) and my Ranchero GT.
All of us where into motorcycles way more then cars though.
I had an Indian and the other two guys had a Knucklehead and a Panhead.

What are you reading my mail? lol

I've used that exact saying for years about Mustangs in general.

The guy that did the 'modernized' design for Ford was a kid in Vietnam who fell in love with the Mustang. He went to school and became a designer/ engineer for Ford. The LA times had a big writeup about it a while back...I'll see if I can find the link.

I don't know about you, but I thought he did an excellent job in keeping the old look with the new.

      *edit* found it....http://articles.latimes.com/2005/jan...nt/et-mustang3

**double dog edit...sorry I messed up the link first time... fixed

I thought it was an old Boss at first.
The one my buddy had was dark green and looked like it was doing 100 when parked.
I raced a reg. mustang once that had the 289 with the VW bug I had at the time. Funnest and most lopsided race I was ever in:rolleyes:
My grandfather had a 52 Ford that I would love to have now.
I'd also take just about any Ford pickup from the 50's and early 60's.

I messed up that link earlier for the Mustang engineer...it is truly a Mustang love story and worth reading IF you like Mustangs.

In the mean time here's something I ran across the other day...for auto enthusiasts...

I've had that "Daffy" thing pointed out to me before.

That being said there is a new Viper due in 2012.

I had an 01' ACR with goodies , I loved spanking Porsches and Ferrari's hard on the track hehe.... Viper owners that attended vcoa saw the mockup of the new Viper and said it looked awesome. And just recently report came out saying it will have apprx around 700 hp stock.

edit - forgot to say the new Stangs are excellent, Ford did a great job with everything from the interior to the feel of the car, the car just does not feel like there's a live axle in the rear as in the past. It handles so sharp. A new 5.0 is an absolute bargain for the money, awesome engine and it's responding greatly to simple bolt on mods.

I know a few Porsche guys who've switched to Viper after being beat about the neck and head by the Snake.

That's definitely a positive. I know there were rumors of it being similar to Alfa's 8C Competizione, which is not a bad looking car, but neither is the Viper.

I wonder what Ford's gonna do for the 50th anniversary Stang. Will it include IRS and I'm curious as to what type of design cues they'll use.

Retro was big for the past few years but they'll need to shake it up going forward.

I also wouldn't mind a version of the Ford Australia Falcon coming over to the states.
