I would sell everything, and devote the rest of my life to relieve pain and suffering, and to offer comfort to fellow inhabitants of a dying world.

That is so noble Paul, however, probably futile. I think that I would rather visit the sites of the Mayan disappearances and study their writings to attempt to discover how they learned to harmonize with the subtle earth and cosmic energies so I could teach mankind how to ascend and avoid the suffering and rejoice in their release from the bondage of this physical plane.

I am in total and complete harmonic submission to the cosmic energies. Now that I think about it, I would desire much more to embrace you and hug you tight until the end of the life we had known.

This type of behavior of yours and the deliberate alteration and misrepresentation of my quote is of the most depraved nature; a false allegation of me having said such cruel, heartless and crass words is most despicable.

Moreover, you should be ashamed of yourself for being so flippant and cavalier about the higher issue of the impending extinction of all life on earth. Be grateful for the time we have left, and live it to the fullest. Don't waste what little time we may have here by going around changing quotes for your own dark gratification.
Paul - it's a hypothetical situation....you don't need to be so reactionary just because I said your well meant endeavors would be futile.

              Heh.

And just how do we know all the "prophesies" aren't true? Past experience? ROFL!

K, I crack myself up. Nice new name there annoyed girl.

Anyhow, I'm all about the 2012 stuff, but I think my dad finally calmed me down. Since the year 2000 was the actual year I thought we were all gonna be nuked due to some glitch in the computer programming, it helped me to get in there - get my hands dirty, and help with changing code for three years.

So guess on this question, I am basically doing the same. Looking for solutions - or at least attempting to "appease myself" that something will be done before everything goes to "crap."

Only problem is - I don't KNOW that the world will end in 2012, any more than I KNEW it would all be blown to smithereens in 2000. I FELT it would, I had ideas playing in my brain, just like I do now about 2012 - BUT... the only thing for me to do is exactly what has been said here.

Live life the best way I know how, enjoy it, try to make a better place for my spoiled rug rats - live, love, laugh, and leave some type of legacy for my family that they can use should we all survive!

Oh, and of course... do SOMETHING to prevent "mass death in 2012" - even if that SOMETHING is just prodding other folks to THINK about it.

There is no source code this time to deal with "this time around" for me... which was at least something tangible.

I can't seem to get GOD on the line long enough to give me the TRUE scoop - hell - he may be what we would call an ALIEN anyhow. Guess I haven't found the best "phone home" method yet - cause I'm pullin' blanks on what can be done about something you are not really sure is gonna happen anyhow!

It DID make sense to me that bombs could travel due to a computer source code date glitch - but 2012 is a bit more "obscure" to say the least. It all boils down basically to man's religion, and the definition of God, and the "end of days" that everyone has been dreading for centuries.

Maybe it's just another Illuminati plot to scare the living daylights out of the people living on this planet.

I have a cat here - in our new house, who has a shattered little world of her own... so taking her view... hmmm. Let's just stay in the basement, or under the couch for a couple days - until we feel it's safe enough to come out.

Then when we DO come out, we'll have to pee on the closet rug, cause the litter is too far away. We won't even THINK about angering our "God" in the process, cause the fear of trecking to the litter is too great.

When God gets home, "she" decides to lock us in the same room WITH the litter, so as not to make us treck too far when we have to go pee. Boy, that's a real bummer... and since we have now heard every noise the new land makes in the last few days, we are now eager to go exploring. Hey, we even know that going back to the litter is safe!

Hahaha - ok silly analogy, because dogs and cats get to SEE their GODS.

Or are us humans our OWN Gods, yet we just don't know it yet?

              Thanks!
              Michelle

Then get out for good behaviour. Hahhahaha

              Sal,
Are you trying to derive some hidden meaning from my posts? I am just a simple man, and don't see where you get that interpretation that I am so "reactionary". Ancient Mayan texts may need analysis and interpretation, but certainly not my posts.

All I said was, "I am in total and complete harmonic submission to the cosmic energies. Now that I think about it, I would desire much more to embrace you and hug you tight until the end of the life we had known."

You seem so romantic - raising vibrational resonance in the dark ... with a candle. As you put it "there's nothing wrong with a bit of gratification on the way out".

Ok, both of you have some very good ideas.

Sal, do you read Mayan? If not, it is still spoken regionally and I'm sure you can find an archaeologist who is fluent in Mayan who would be delighted to work with you.

However, they were into human sacrifice to appease the g-ds. Every culture has wisdom in it, but to separate the destructive from the constructive is the key as sometimes they are closely interwoven into the fabric of cosmic conciousness. Human sacrifice and cannabilism brings cultural destruction faster than anything...even sexual aborrition. How do you separate these?

Today, the fabric of society is being unwoven by two things:
          1) the complete disregard for the earth
          2) the complete disregard for life---both human and other species

Our cruelity to eachother is destroying everything because WE are the caretakers of the earth and all species. They Maya committed the most horrific human autrocities in human history----destroying the fabric of existance.

I look at is the paryllel between Mayan timing of the end of the age along with other cultures, including I Ching, Dreamtime Mythology, Book of Formations, Native American mythology.....to have so many cultures on the same page can't be a coincidence. As an example, the flood myths are also international and carry a regional recounting of the event. That ELE was necessary because of humanity's disregard of life and disregard of the earth over which we were caretakers---it brought all things to an end of existance.

Are they accounting an ELE of ancient times which is returning the earth to a neo-formation state? I believe that is their message. They are sharing with us, their children, what they did to bring on the ELE and warning us to not repeat the same mistakes.....which we are doing only at a much higher degree than our antecedants could have ever imagined possible.

To me, what we need to do is connect with our Higher Power and positive energy of the earth....however we do so. Sitting in nature, prayer, davening, meditation, whatever it takes to align our soul to the transition of the age and to eliminate negative energy. We have to change our actions. We must change our laws of destruction and cruelty to eachother and other species. When it comes to destruction of a human life to re-birth life and to continue creation, well, it's destroyed many cultures......including the Maya.

Yep -that's how you have to do it. Just because the whole world doesn't explode in 2012 doesn't mean you won't get your own personal curtain call then - or before.

I just live like I want to do and see all before the fat lady sings my own tune - and if something does blow and everyone else goes with me, well there's gonna be a party across the divide that will rock whatever dimension that we suddenly all find ourselves in.

On a solemn note, I just did a photo of a young man 27 years old who died because he was involved with another man's wife. The father needed the only photo of him as an adult to be edited for the tombstone. it was a mess, grainy, poor quality and not the type of artifacts that you can just remove with the clone tool. The wife, when I e-mailed it to her didn't like it. i used the healing brush and some blur, had to copy and duplicate sections, unsharp masking, among some of the techniques. I did my best. The man left saying this was his SECOND son he's lost and what a nightmare this was. He wanted me to do the photo of his brother too, we'll see if the wife lets him. Other professionals wouldn't touch it as it was uneditable. I charged him $35.00 when I could have easily gotten a lot more. I didn't have the heart.

Keep this family up in prayer. Loosing one child is hard enough...horrific, but two sons and over the holidays!

Even if we have three years or 100, we need to be spending our time loving each other and doing random acts of kindness like it's our last moments on this earth.

with some of these answers, I don't think many of you are taking the question seriously.

Have you seen the "bucket list"? If you KNEW life on earth would end.....
    What would money be worth?
What would seeing the world be worth?
What would family and strengthening those relationships be worth?
Would your focus / mind set change?

As you look outside at what you take for granted.....the blueness of the sky, the intricate detail of a rose petal, or the laughter of a child......KNOWING all that we know is ENDING in a few short years.....what will you do with the time you have left?

I like your answer. Enjoying and taking care of the earth we have and loving our family is the most important mission we have on this earth.

    Dorothy,

You mentioned the Mayan practice of human sacrifice...

After 51 years of living I've come to the conclusion maybe we've totally missed the point of such practice.

Thus far I have yet to read any references at all even hinting at morons among them...

In the case of sexual preditors, rapists, mass murders, I believe in the death sentence. If that's human sacrifice.....

The Mayans actually got it backwards. They sacrificed children and virgins because they were considered pure and unspoiled. The child molesters and rapists were highly respected. They were called priests, and sat in their temples, smoked some dope and had ritual sex with young girls. Now that is a society we can learn from. Or have we?

I am in total and complete harmonic submission to the cosmic energies. Now that I think about it, I would desire much more to embrace you and hug you tight until the end of the life we had known.

    Fly me to the moon
Let me sing among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
    On Jupiter and Mars

    Etc - Etc - Etc
Wow Paul - we really have to quit messing with Tommy's flux capacitor. That last universal shift seems to have gotten to both of us a bit.

The Mayan Religion revolved around their science of energy. OF course - religion presupposes people in power - and apparently, from a quick look - or even an arduous study, of human history, it seems that power itself is the downfall of humankind. Were the Mayans more atrocious than we? A quick look at what is going on in Iraq or Africa or a few other places suggests not.
Mayans had some feel that there were some sort of energy transmissions from the sacrifice that were necessary for elevating the society. We just murder for money.

The Mayans disappeared seemingly instantly. Many homes even had dinner plates still half full at tables. Where did they go? These people studied and understood many energy fields that we are just beginning to re-discover presently. They did have a calendar that encompassed 56 years (52 years? somewhere around there) and it was not long enough for what they were concentrating on so they developed a longer cycle via mathematical equations. That cycle ends at the end of the present calendar - 2012. If they were here, they would make a new calendar. It is the end of the cycle to be factual - but that they felt it the end of the world is yet to be proven.

What may be something that we have not yet put together is the possibility that the building of the resonant frequency needed to dissolve into the next dimension may only come periodically. In this case - our society isn't going to make it because it's not a personal thing, it is something a society, or a fairly sizable group, must achieve in oneness - such as the Mayans themselves must have done to achieve their timely disappearance. Whether they were cruel or not is not relevant - they knew energy is the one major point. The other is whether we have completely deciphered the 2012 issue - end of cycle or end of the world.

That explains why I feel energized whenever I run over those cute little baby bunny rabbits in the road. The more that get squished, the more energetic I feel. Hmmm ... never tried incest yet, but looks like the Maya were onto something afterall.
