I had to share this classic.

I get to the office this morning and open my email, I have one from the FBI.

Naturally I'm intrigued, it must be important, they've sent it twice.

Sir/Madam, we have logged your IP-address on more than 40 illegal Websites. Important: Please answer our questions! The list of questions are attached.
In a moment of silliness, I open the attachment.

Guess what?

The FBI now do great deals on Viagra!

Who'd have known...

Lol, thats actually quite humorous. Would have been funnier if they actually asked you if you had penile erection problems, then sent you the promo links.

        Nothing really.

How did these unknown Africans get your number though? There's nothing up with it but I'd find it odd, if say, lots of people from France started ringing me up and all saying "Hello, can I trust you?"

sbucciarel - lol ... you had to look, didn't you?
Course I had to look, I thought the FBI were onto me.......whooops.

Richard, this just goes to show how sales of any kind (even the kind that scammers perpetrate ) is a numbers game. Send out enough emails/letters or make enough calls, and you'll eventually find someone interested in your Viagra or vast (fake) inheritance!

            It's incredible Paul.

What's odd is that the receiver thinks he/she's been busted for looking at dodgy sites, why would they then, in their relief, buy some Viagra off someone who's just blatantly lied and scared you into opening it? It's like me dressing up as a cop, pulling my gun on you, then, when I've got your attention, seeing if you like to buy some bananas, or whatever.

This is the first time I've seen this one, though I've had 5 more since I got in this morning.

The FBI is being very insistent I buy some of their gear.

Richard, I agree that this is absolutely absurd. Maybe they're split testing several of their scam "offers" at the moment, and this is why you're seeing this type of insane "offer" all over the internet at the moment...lol.

    Richard,

I get at least half a dozen a week from them. Been going on for months.

The thing that really kind of intrigues me is they don't give up. They keep
sending them. I guess they feel one day I'll give in and order viagra, or the
other stuff they send. Hoping against all hope I'll crack and say, "Ok, you
    win, I'll buy."

Some of those emails are long, too. I'd like to meet one of those people just
to get an idea of what they're like.

      I completely agree Gary.

I did mention earlier, I have an old computer in my office that's due to be removed that hasn't been turned on for some time. I purposefully turned it on to see what this was.

I don't for one minute recommend anyone else opens this stuff and I certainly wouldn't risk opening one on my trusted bread winners .

Thanks for looking out for me though and your offline course incidentally, is excellent. One of very few WSO's I've bought that very much delivered and was monstously underpriced in my opinion (product plug over )

The scary thing about the Nigerian inheritance scams is that some poor souls actually fall for them

The guy that does that "To catch a Predator show" (Chris Hansen??) did one of these types of scams and even people who should know better have been fleeced of hge amounts of money - thats why these scum bags keep trying it - because as much as us lot laugh it off, some people sadly do fall for it

I see that sort of thing all the time... But you know, if they're going to push Viagra, don't you think that's more a job for the DEA? I mean it's their job to handle the drugs isn't it?

But seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if they are watching. I go through enough bureaucratic red tape in a week, I should own stock in the red tape manufacturers

I'm constantly digging into things, finding out things, asking questions, and generally being an annoyingly persistent little buggar when it comes to ferreting out what I want to know.

I think it's nice you admit live on the forum you have the problem!

On a serious note, if you did (and I'm not saying you do) have an erectile dysfunction, they just shot themselves in the foot because you would have been in fact, a targeted prospect, who might have bought it

It would make better sense to spam people emails with some thing along the lines of...

"Can't get it up? Don't let it get you down....Discount Viagra!"

Rather than tricking them into thinking the FBI was monitoring ones sordid search activity.

That reminded me of something that happened with my father.
When he was 80 he had a stroke that closed his esophagus and the docs put a feeding tube in his stomach and gave him 6 months to live.
Anyways when he was around 84 or so I went to see him in his bedroom one morning. He was sitting there with a big smile on his face. I asked him what was up, the smile got bigger and he said when he woke up that morning he had a h**don. Then he got real sad looking so I asked him what was wrong. He looked at me and said, "I couldn't remember what to do with it".

As for the FBI, they stopped watching me around 35 years ago:rolleyes:

You still opening emails claiming to be from the FBI?

Come on people, if the FBI really wanted to talk to you, they would come down and have a chat with you....certainly they would not want to contact you via an method of communication that could be read by almost anyone with the 'proper equipment'.
