Past life problems coming to this life?

I was very young when I fell in love with someone ( we were both 9) And we had a good life and everything, but now things haven't worked out and I am having a really hard time moving on with my life. Im already 26 and I figured, if I don't figure this out, I'm going to end up alone.

I called a "spiritual healer" and she said the reason my pull to this person is so strong is because we have been together in a past lifetime. Has anyone on here had a similar experience?

What experience are you referring to?

    Falling in love: yes
    Things not working out: yes

Luckily, life goes on. I think it's a bit premature, at 26, to assume you're going to end
    up alone.

It's hard to get over a failed relationship so don't get discouraged.

Pay me twice what you paid this "spiritual healer" and I'll tell you what she purposely left out.

You'll need this information to continue without suffering dire consequences, so my advice is to act now before I change my mind.

Sorry for being being straightforward, but things like "past life" is BS. As well as "spiritual healer", mostly scam.

You should relax. Sometimes love is found in unpredictable way.

Been together in past lifetime ? Uh, I'm fairly spiritual in general but I don't believe in stuff like that. If you're having problems now, there's not much strange about it. Look at the world, who doesn't have relationship problems? I'm 16 and I've already had two failed relationships (the second one ended just today) - both of the times I believed it was "meant to be" or just felt it was something real, and despite my very hard efforts, things just didn't work out. You know what? Now, I kinda think it's stupid crap when people say "oh my god! This is so meant to be. I'll love you forever" while just a week later they can be thinking "I think it's time to move on". At a situation like that, people who see it will consider them liars and cheats and what not, which I guess may be true, but if we dig deeper, I think to make a relationship work for real, you have to put in efforts - real efforts - to sustain a healthy happy relationship, EVERY DAY. If one day you're smiling and saying "I LOVE YOU", but later don't feel any love feelings anymore - it's not that you didn't really love them before, you did! It was real. But what changed? Well, something did .. And to make that something not happen, both- guy and girl have to work on it. Else it'll end up in ruin.

As for spiritual stuff, I don't believe any of that. I don't care if someone tells me "SHES THE ONE FOR YOU!" or "You've been with her for 6 lifetimes!". Like I said, I don't believe theres a particular someone for you , and no one but them in the whole world.. It's just about handling life wisely, moving on with what you have, and dealing with stuff.

Don't think you'll end up alone. You have a lot to yet experience. It's going to be fine, just deal with the present the way you want to, and it's going to be fine ultimately. I don't know why I typed so much.. It's hard for me to stop once I get started :/ Anyway take care and don't feel bad.

    • Well we have known eachother since we were 9. And even then I didn't know what love was but I "liked" him. With time we became good friends, and his family was like my family and vise versa.

He is now doing drugs, and getting in trouble. I can't accept that in my life. Also he is with another woman, so I'm trying to move on.

Its just really hard after really only knowing love through him and sharing 16 years of our lives together. It really is hard.

Im dating a new person, and his birthday is one day after this guys. I just keep liking guys born in that particular week. July 13-19th. Anyway its crazy, but Im trying hard to move on.

Just get over it, and get advice from your family, not forum dwellers....

There's your problem. Stop trying to figure it out and just go on living your life. You spent what, 17 years with this girl? If I was to take anything from that it would be you have experience in a long relationship. That's a rare thing to have at your age plus you're young enough to experience it again.
Despite what some of the kids here are saying, things happen for a reason.
I'm 58 now and I can see and understand the reasons for pretty much everything that has happened to me in my life and it has been a butt load.
In fact more then one person has told me I should write a book about my life. Personally I think my life was and is only interesting to me and then barely, but I digress.
I know it can be confusing when a long term relationship seems to end.
If in the end you're ment to be together, you will be. Either way just be yourself and enjoy every minute of your life.

It's called a first love and people never forget that, no matter how long ago or how young they were. . . As for the strong pull, it's the same point. Some people never really get fully over their first love but that doesn't stop them from having an awesome and deep relationship with another. My advice would be to go out and meet people. Some of the people that you date will hurt you and you'll hurt some in return but this is all a part of life and are great learning experiences to find out what kind of person you want to be with and also gives you experience to deal with things down the road. Whatever you do, don't just try to hang onto the past relationship as it sounds like you're doing. It will only create a self-fulfilling prophecy as it's called in Psychology and you WILL end up alone. Just go meet some new people. I promise, you'll find someone just as good or better. I just got over losing the love of my life, the first real love, and I'm 32 and she's 31 and it was the same for her too but money issues, you know. I'm just stating that you have plenty of time to meet some great people out there.

There are at least a few religions that believe the people we are involved with in this life are the same people we are involved with in other lives, but in different relationship values in different lifetimes.

Okay.........so? Just because you know someone in another lifetime does not equal "supposed to be with forever" in this lifetime. Just means you'll probably be catching up with each other again next time around.

So much for the religious note --

You have been with one person since you were 9 - no doubt you care a great deal for them, but really - how? Seems like that would be more of a habit or family member than lover. Continue to care, but find yourself an adult romance now. Something that percolates between two adults. Kids change into completely different people over time. When you are dealing with other adults you will find someone you have the same adult interests with. You'll always care about this person deep down - but as soon as you get into another relationship, you will see the difference and be glad you moved on.

At my age I'm more concerned with the next life than I am with past lives. If I get to heaven and my ex-wife is there to meet me I'll know I went the other way.
