A good friend died less than an hour ago.

They told me last night, he was getting better.

It amazes me how selfish I can be...I am sad because I will miss him.

Please no matter what faith or even if you don't have faith...wish my friend a good journey.

I could count my friends on one hand, now less.

No need to respond.

All I can do for him now, is write an epitaph on an international forum..then that's what I will do.

He had his demons, but would give you the shirt off his back.

he was a good friend to me and will be missed.

Adios... "Hoser"... Adios

You will see him again on the other side, Jim.

    But not just yet.

      You know what,bless you Sal..

I was just coming back to say thanks to anyone and I mean anyone that thought a good thought...unfortunately I can't do that without bumping the thread.
I don't mess with an epitaph, just one of the things the Mexican people and the Irish (me)... (yes, born) have in common.
Spent many a year in the barrio's of LA

It is heartbreaking yet I am old enough and experienced enough to know it is a part of life.

This hit a little hard because he was only 48 and left two kids, not to mention that I thought I would see him again.
The day started so well...talking about BBQing...

So all I can say is thank you from Jose and me...

      He was a good man.

      Thank you all.

You can shed tears that he is gone

Or you can smile because he has lived

You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back

Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left

Your heart can be empty because you can't see him

Or you can be full of the love that you shared

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday

Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday

You can remember him and only that he is gone

Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back

Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
