S.C. House reverses and approves tax-collection exemption for Amazon

The South Carolina House of Representatives reversed itself Wednesday and approved an exemption for Amazon from state laws that require the company to collect sales taxes on purchases by South Carolina residents.

The exemption, approved on a roll call vote of 97-20, is good for about four and one-half years.

Anyway, one more safe state - at least for 4.5 years.

    Smart move by them. Now they'll get all that income tax from Amazon Affiliates... whereas Colorado lawmakers played tough with Amazon, got us all dropped, so lost the sales tax for Amazon products, AND the income tax for affiliates...AND put people out of jobs.

    Now we all pay income tax to other states where we had to set up companies.
