My husband and I found a litter of feral kittens only a few days old about... 8 months ago. When they were about 6 weeks old we caught them all and found homes for all but four of them. We still have three of them and I'm really glad we kept them. Three may seem like a lot of cats but they keep each other company and love to play with each other so I'm glad we kept all three. All of them are indoor cats... they only have the shots they give to indoor cats. They recently started having stomach issues and I was worried so I upgraded to better food. That wasn't helping much so I took them to the vet and they didn't find anything wrong... then one day they all got outside and the first thing they did was run into the lawn and start eating grass! I panicked and got them back inside remembering how sick my dog always got when he ate grass... but to my surprise, for the first day in weeks none of them seemed sick. After some research I found out cats actually eat grass to ease their stomach and help prevent hairballs!
Cats?

Well, since then I've been growing pots of grass and bringing them inside for the cats and they love it! I found some seeds that grow several kinds of grass that cats love and they seem happier and healthier than ever!
Honestly, I would be lonely without them while my husband is at work. Their names are Runty, Jazzy, and Mowm.
Runty was the runt of the litter but is now twice as big as the rest! He chews on EVERYTHING and is the reason I had to buy a wireless mouse and keyboard. I'm still trying to figure out how to get him to quit chewing on cords. Mowm was the first we caught... we asked her what she wanted her name to be and she meowed at me. Her favorite thing to do is find my hair bands and play fetch. She will bring a hair band back to me to throw for hours on end, but once she is tired she will sleep on my lap. Jazzy is skittish and doesn't like people... that makes it such a reward when she decides to socialize.
I always have a cat on my lap while I work. I actually find it relaxing to be able to play with them while I work.
So, do any of you guys have kitties as well?
