hey

How are ya?... just droppin' by and didn't want to hi-jack anyone's thread with my "how ya been? ramblings.."

So...

How ya been?..

I'm sooooooooooo excited for my baby girl's first Xmas....

But at the same time I am stressed about my business. I was supposed to be travelling to the good ol' US of A next year for some VERY exciting projects, but right now it looks like that is being put on hold.. ::major sigh::

I'm at a point where I am running my businesses just going through the motions...

Sales are up, income is growing......

Money is good, but fulfilment is low... my sense of achievement is deteriorating.... grrr... I'm stressing over my 2009 direction.. my goals, plans, etc.. I have my 5 year plan, but I'm not sure if the plan I have laid out is exactly what I want...

::sigh::

Sorry for rambling..

Happy Holidays...

      Jay man, what's up?

This doesn't sound like you at all. Come on man, life is good. You're on your
way to who knows what next year. Enjoy the ride.

Here's an idea. In addition to your plan, do something crazy.

Create a site, not for the purpose of making money at all...something you
just love. Make it an all out whiz bang of a site with the greatest content
in that niche imaginable and make it free for the whole world.

Then, put up a blog and let people tell you how great your site is.

      And then...when it's like Alexa rank 3,000 or something...throw up a bunch
of Adsense links and collect a nice check for doing something you love
      each month.

      And that's just one idea.

Want more?...I got a million of 'em.

      Don't worry...be happy

        Jay

My life changed completely when my son was born 2 years ago.

The way I looked at things was different and it made me reassess where I was at. It does create a kind of discomfort in your mind.

The biggest problem I've had since I started working from home recently is that I could spend all day just being with my son, but for both our sakes I have to lock myself away and work. Last year I had to go back to the UK for a week without him and it was really difficult.

I am actually developing a website and a newsletter for him because he gives me lots of ideas for stories.

As for your fulfilment being low, take time off this week to just chill out and enjoy your daughter. A time of mellow reflection could be just what you need.

You are now at the beginning of the hardest job you'll ever have - being a father. It is also the most wonderful and fulfilling thing you'll ever do. Next Christmas, when you see what a great kid she has become because of you and her mother you will feel a sense of achievement that's like nothing else.

Your present success also means that she won't know the hardship that so many children around the world suffer.

Every day I see kids my sons age sleeping by the roadside while their mothers beg. I am so grateful that I have the means to give my son a good start in life. I am not in any way suggesting you are ungrateful for what you have, but maybe you are at a stage where every has become too comfortable.

Christmas Eve does give rise to some troubling thoughts . . .

        Have a good 'un

Perhaps he is referring to our level of finesse and refined manners.

He's probably referring to my upcoming ebook "How I made a Billion

        A great post Steven.
