The Dangers Of Working With Others

Marketer A and B enter a JV together.

Marketer A handles one part of the process.

Marketer B handles another part of the process.

Marketer A's part is behind the scenes (no personal contact with the
customers but name still used)

Marketer B's part is customer support.

Marketer B totally screws up his or her end.

Marketer A gets all the nasty emails because HIS name is forefront.

It happens more times than you can imagine and a great way to ruin
your reputation even if you've done nothing wrong.

In short...be VERY careful who you choose to work with.

It just might come back to bite you on the backside.

Fortunately, the folks here at the Warrior Forum who I know and trust are
top notch and I never have to worry about such nonsense.

But outside of this place, there is a lot of incompetence.

Be on the lookout for it.

This is my public service warning for today.

I agree that you do need to be very careful who you team up with. You want to make sure your values are in line with each other's and also that your skills compliment each other.

Personally, I have teamed up with another lady who is also on this forum, and it has been a real joy to work with her. But I knew her before this forum from my online dealings, and felt we could make a good team.

Very true - when people get desperate they 'cut corners' - and all sorts of bad things can happen. Be very selective and get some references - especially if your name is the one that is prominent. Just don't do it if you don't feel everything is right.

Sorry slightly off-topic but it does remind me. Every corporation/office I ever worked in perennially had at least one person that made life miserable every day. Whether negligent, haughty, condescending or outright hostile. I spent a lot of time stressing and ranting on my off hours since you can't express your feelings at the source without being the one blamed for the conflict.

When I started working from home alone online - my son was happy for me. He said 'Geez, that's great mom. now you will get along a lot better with your co-workers'.

'Tis true - and fortunately everyone (98%) I have worked with online -- clients, on projects or etc., have been wonderful. I have so many friends online I am very proud of even though I have never really 'met' them.
