Being from North Jersey, I know a little bit about NY's ego.

He said Jersey leeches off NY but he forgot to say that we also leach off Philly.

The north does NY & the south does Phillly.

So what the Saprano's and The Jersey Shore are set in Jersey - So what?

And If I hear another Turnpike joke, I'll scream.

He got my adopted state wrong by inferring that we eat a lot of lobster but Md. is the crab state.

So I'm guessing you don't want me to ask 'what exit' in New Jersey

As for New York's ego, I have to laugh at it really.
I love where I live and think it's one of the best places on earth, but the actual state of New York, not so much. Same with the states around me or any others I've visited, beautiful country, crappy cities.
Funny thing about NY and NJ is when you get away from NYC and the 95 corridor in Jersey you loose the ego and attitude. I love western Jersey, both the scenery and the people.

I noticed this too...Maryland known for lobster? Someone needs to visit the Inner Harbor.

The guy obvoiusly went through a lot of work to visit all 50 states...He should have spent a little more time on his writing.

Colorado known for snow (cocaine)? Hello, the 70's called and want its cliche back. A more modern reference would have be to "green" and legal MMJ dispensaries. Boulder alone has almost as many legal MMJ dipsensaries as the entire state of Callifornia.

My computer isn't running well enough to have caught everything matched up with the states -- but........Idaho?

Idaho is an awesome state. It's not small pototoes for sure. Anyone who is into wilderness adventure, rockhounding and just a lot of freedom that hasn't been to Idaho is really missing out.

      Shhh Sal...

      go to L.A.people... much nicer.

I love that western Montana northern Idaho area.
      My 'adopted' home state.

I lived in Helena for almost a year when I was 13, until 'they' found me and dragged me back.
I was up in Helena about 3 years ago and if I have one mission left in me, it's to get some land up there. I want to show my youngest that there are still some pristine areas left. I still can't believe that north western Montana and parts of Idaho are now expensive.

"Who needs speed limits when your drunk"

If that's all he thinks of Montana, he wasn't there long enough.
      That's fine with me though.

Jim - you haven't seen that NW corner of MT since the fire I take it. Burned the bejeebers out of that area. I suppose it's recovering now, but it took a lot of the beauty out of it.

MT has been expensive since the first time I drove through. I wanted to move there back then but found it way too expensive compared to wages - and the snow will keep most people out. N ID has other ways of keeping people they don't want there just passing through. You don't choose to live in small town NW US unless the locals allow you to stay there -- trust me on that one.
