Help with business school project (internal communication theories)

Hi,

I wrote my last project of this year on internal communication within a certain company. More specific it regarded the change from communicating company news internally via a magazine to the more modern way of communicating these news via the company's intranet. I used some media ecology, Shannon & Weaver's model (some cybernetic stuff I think), media richness model and then wrote a bunch on communication in bureaucratic organizations (how the intranet ease flow in information for instance).

Now I only need some stuff for my exam, but I really have a hard time figuring out what to relate to my paper. I am looking for some theories or models that I have not used in my paper, but that could fit and be applied if I had wanted to when I wrote it.

I'm on my knees for some help here if anyone wants to help but needs more info, I have a one page resume of the whole paper containing the most relevant stuff.

Thanks Warrios!!

How about going in to some psychology with regard to communication from various perspectives -

How organizations need to communicate not just from the top down but also from the bottom up. In other words Management listens to feedback and takes suggestions rather than to just dictate. (Book: Industrial Psychology)

How to motivate people to do a good job and stay loyal to the company. ('How to motivate and develop people' - Book: Supervisory Management)

Also conflict resolution - whether talking internal corporate communications or customer service. Discuss the best ways to approach the conflict (and save the customer) to reach a resolution rather than to escalate it into anger and maybe workplace violence. (Lots of Books on Conflict Resolution)

It may not seem like much to start but once you start researching and writing it does add up.

Thanks man. Do you know the name of some theories in these books? Then I will try and look them up online. My exam is in less than two weeks so while finding and ordering the books is a good idea, I'd prefer to find some theories online right away.

Thanks again, I really appreciate it
