FINALLY - after 4 years - We Have...
Moved into our OTHER house!!!
OMG, I never thought the day would come. Wow. I'm sitting here on my son's machine, which we brought over to test the internet connection. Don't have our stove, washer, dryer, or even MY PC - but we stayed here Christmas eve after doing the "family thing."
On Christmas day, we were so busy with family functions, that we didn't stay here much at all - till we got home around midnight.
Today the kids and I cleaned, and moved in some small stuff. The hubby was over at my dad's all day today helping him build a new "breaker box" because apparently his took a major crap. No lights, no water. Dad is all fixed back up now - and he'll come get our boys tomorrow for a while so we can move the "big stuff."
What's REALLY cool about THAT is - tomorrow is supposed to be one of the warmest days for Dec. on record, so we won't be totally freezing while we move the major pain in the butt stuff. Might rain a bit, but we'll take that over the 1 degree -20 wind chill!!!
My own office. Yay!!!! I will actually be able to make videos, and do all kinds of cool stuff online to make some cash - cause I'll be able to SHUT THE DANG DOORS on my OWN OFFICE - instead of being stuck in the corner of my living room!
Both boys have their OWN ROOMS - so no more fighting over being in the same room!
I am so excited! And we DID IT! We GOT IN BEFORE CHRISTMAS - by a hair, but we did it!
Looking forward to being able to spend a bit more time in here, and on the PC working behind a closed door - with dad and the boys left to their own devices, instead of being interrupted 15 times in one half hour cause I'm in the same room with no doors. (Well, OK, so my doors aren't up yet - but they WILL be!)
It might not seem like a big deal to anyone else, but just the MENTAL peace of mind that I already have by sitting in my OWN office will be a wonderful catalyst to:
1. getting more done in a shorter period of time
2. getting to be more TIMELY - instead of so late and slow
3. being more organized and able to USE my time WISELY
4. Did I mention I will be able to close the doors?
Now, all we need to do is finish moving the big stuff from the old house, and get rid of everything we are not gonna use by 2012.
Look out Goodwill, you'll be overwhelmed soon!
