Hi everyone,

After following warriorforums fora while; my brain is in "overload" mode.
So many areas one can go:
CPA,
Blogging
Affiliate products
etc.

Where should one start?

I have bought quite a few WSO's, just don't know where to begin?
Everything starts out.. simple, when going through it, it sort of becomes a mountain.

How to get a steady income? Of even 20 - 50 bucks a day?

Which formula to follow, which not to follow?

Which direction to take the first step? How far to go b4 changing course?

Thanks,

Alex.

Hi - I think you have to choose one strategy and become an expert in that strategy. Ignore everything else until you have mastered that aspect. Only then can you tell whether it is worth sticking with.... good luck on your journey! All the very best, Allen

yeah you should just stick to one course that you've bought and just take action and follow that till the point where you are making money. Don't rush yourself into buying the next greatest product that will make you rich overnight. Just focus on one topic of internet marketing e.g. list building, seo or product creation. Master that and make money in that field before moving onto something else.

Remember if you don't take action you won't get anywhere in life, thats the truth.
    So good luck

First Step, Zoom Out, analyze what are
avaliable in the market that you can do to
    made money online.

Step 2, Understand your interest, strength,
    weakness, skills, etc.

Step 3, Zoom In, shortlist 2 methods that you
think suitable to you, analyze it in details again,
    choose one to do.

Final Step, stay focus, consistent, and persistent
to the method that you have selected.

The above steps may be simple, but to implement
it, is extremely hard, so be prepare and don't say
    i never warn you.

Good luck and wish you success.

      Hi

I believe that the key to success with internet marketing is to follow one business model and stick with it.

There are a lot of extremely successful internet marketers out there. Pick one who is already successful at what you want to do online. Find out why they are so successful. Look at how they market themselves and their products. Pick one marketer that you admire and do what they do!

If you're constantly seduced by the next big product launch or the next push button system that promises you millions of dollars with six clicks, then you'll not only fail to make any money but will probably be significantly out of pocket. We've all done it. Most internet marketers (including me) have hard drives chock full of 'sure fire systems' guaranteed to make them a fortune overnight.

However; ethical internet marketing gurus, of whom there are many, will tell you that the only way to promote your business is through hard work and consistency. Whatever internet marketing methods you choose, you should make sure that you do them every day and with perseverance and determination you'll succeed in building a successful IM business.

      Good luck

Wow, it almost sounds like you think you can push a button and get results. Unfortunately, there is a fairly decent amount of work required in IM. At least in the beginning. There's no other way around it. When you come to grips with that, you'll be able to get over this hump.

Hi, I just read a good guide for new marketers starting out that you might want to check out. It is offered by another warrior right here on the forum here is the link(it is free with no opt-in):http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...0-quickly.html, I agree with the others that you have to focus on one area until you become successful with it, otherwise you will get overloaded with information and not actually do anything, which is exactly what you don't want.

    To Your Success,

    Hi Alex,
I agree with the others, you need to work on one thing a time become an expert at it then move on to the next thing. If you try to do to many things at once you will be all over the place.

When I started I was the same, till someone told me to start on one thing say like learning how to submit articles and where, then move on to the next.
I know it can take time but believe me it will be worth it in the end.

    To your success

Try to start with a narrowly market niche (which is based on your knowledge and passion), then choose a specific strategy that's most suitable with your current situation (or your budget). You can also make friend with an expert who already made real money online and follow his blueprint.

Remember, learning without any action will just result in nothing more than a wish.

    Take it easy!

That's another thing, I wanted to ask for,
How exactly does one find a Niche?
Is it through some software? Is it through google adwords keyword research tool?
Or a combination of different factors?
      Thanks.

  • Hi Alexfox. I for one believe you should start with market research. List down immediate needs and urgent problems of many people. Zone in on sets of needs and problems people regularly search online for solutions and beneficial content...

Zone in further on sets of needs and problems people are willing to purchase solutions on the Internet after they find those solutions online. Zone in much further by identifying which of those sets of needs and problems your specialized expertise and interest can be useful for people with those needs and problems...

List down the online social communities where people with those sets of needs and problems frequently hang out, because they want to talk to people with similar needs and problems as well as to professionals with specialized expertise in relevant subject areas. It'll be great if those online social communities have top ranking, contextually relevant pages in Google for related keyword searches. Choose the online social communities with the largest active membership bases...

Go to those online social communities and learn about their specific needs, problems, actual test results and experience relevant to solutions in the market for those needs and problems...

Once you gathered those useful, relevant details:

You'll know the business backend workflow systems to formulate and implement, the domain name to register, the Web server host provider to use, the Wordpress theme to use, how to customize the overall look and feel of your chosen Wordpress theme to be aesthetically pleasing and convenient to navigate for your target viewers, the Wordpress plugins to install, the Wordpress theme and plugin settings to configure, the mailing list management service to use, the products to develop and the sales pages to write or the affiliate products to market and the review pages to write, the free digital info product to develop for enticing your target viewers to sign up to your mailing list, the onsite content to develop, the newsletters and email updates to send your mailing list members, the online social networks to regularly hang out in and contribute eneficial content to other members, the offsite content to use for your traffic generation and marketing campaigns and the growth and expansion plans to implement for your business...

Out of the WSO's you have bought have you actually tried putting any of the methods they teach into practice? I mean other than just reading through them have you given them a good go?

You maybe just need to focus on one of the WSO's you bought and give it your all to understand it and put the methods learnt into action.

If you have bought a few It can get confusing as then you don't know which one to start with, which one is best. Just pick one and put in a lot of effort learning about it until you fully understand it then try it.

While you're looking into how to get started you should start building a list of names to email market to.

Most top level Internet Marketers will tell you that each name on your list is worth about one dollar a month when using the right email stategy.

That's not to say each person on your list will give you a dollar every month, it means that as you send out your marketing emails the purchases average out to a dollar a name.

So to get up to $20.00 a day you need about 900 names on your list, $50.00 a day you need about 1,500 names.

This only applies to lists that you build yourself, you can't go out and buy a list and expect it to be responsive to someone they don't know.

As most people above have said, it takes quite a bit of work to start earning money on-line.

So choose one of your WSO's and give it every thing you can for the next month, either make it work and start making money or gather proof that it doesn't work and get your money back.

My heart sank when I read, 900 names to make 20 bucks.
I can safely say now, this thing isn't for me.
I have 3 lists with about 10 users each. It took me months to build this, if I have to create a list of 900 users, It will take me years.
I should close my aweber account (if this is true)

Now, blogging, CPA, and offering services, these are the three that I should concentrate on. What do you guys think.
Now, just to sell products, people are making amazing videos like the one in goclickcash. I don't know if anyone saw that video where that guy has an amazing house, cars, his own private jet, who can compete with those guys?

Luckily, I have an adsense account; and 2 years ago, just by makiing some silly little blogs I was able to make around a 100 bucks. Do you think, I should continue improving those. I seriously doubt; I'll be able to create 900 users ever to make a measly 20 bucks.

      Please let me know.

Also, on warrior forums, can we review products that we have brought. I really got burnt on clickbank by buying some software which did nothing. I really want to tear these guys apart here as to save my fellow warrors and exposing the names of people who are scam artists. is that allowed here?
      thanks.

Whatever route you go down, you won't earn any money until you learn how to get targetted traffic to a webpage. If I were you I would focus on learning everything you can about SEO. Once you learn how to get traffic, then you can learn how to make money from it...

Affiliate marketing is a good place to start. Find a niche you are interested in and find a product to promote. Use your site that you are promoting your affiliate product on to collect emails. This will give you a customer base. From there you can email them informational newsletters and promote other affiliate offers from time to time. This also gives you a great base of customers for if/when you decide to create your own product in the same niche.

It does take time to build an email list, but in the end, it is worth it. IM isn't something where you should expect to be making money quickly. Many people spend years trying to get to a steady $20 a day.

Offering services is the best way to meet a goal of $20-50 a day, but the real key to IM is making passive income streams. Sure, my main income is writing, but I am also working on a PLR shop for passive income as well as a review site.

    Alex,
Like you I have been struggling with the same sort of issues. I went out and purchased already existing website thinking that the traffic would just appear. Well that hasn't happened and I am spending money on WSOs and still thinking that a piece of the puzzle is missing.

If you are still new to IM, stay away from WSOs for a while. Take advantage of all of the free information. Ask questions here on WF, use Google, and join the War Room. There is so much information available without purchasing WSOs!

Please read my reply to Alex. It may help you too.

      Forgot (at least) two things.

Empty your email box completely. You have what you need, and anything arriving now is more distraction and time consumption, while you could be moving forward. They're only trying to sell you more 'stuff' anyway.

Start a new email box. Be very strict, and only use it for things that are extremely important. If you do weaken, and optin for another 'freebie', use the old one.

About two years ago, i had 26.000 (yes, you read that right) emails in my inbox. There is no way you can keep up with all that junk.

      Give yourself a fresh start.

You'll feel great afterwards - believe me.

      Cheers

It is easy for your brain to go on "overload" by spending a lot of time on the Warrior Forums. Personally, before you decide, I would take a step back and "get away" for a few days This is something that helps me quite a bit when I am trying to make a decision while my brain is "overloaded" with info.

Hi Alex, I can hear the sadness in your posts.

Many, in fact, most of us have already been there, and can understand your pain. Perhaps you were sucked in by the Ferraris and Mansions? Well many of them are true, but it didn't happen overnight, no matter what they tell you.

Now, you need to take deep breath, and adjust your perception of this business. You will need to work, and you need to be patient. It will come with time and effort. You've taken the lumps, now it's time to fight back - and win.

The WF is where you'll get the best advice. These folks can be supportive, while helping in many ways. Got a question? Ask!
Although there's a certain amount of WSO selling (no I don;t have any), most of the people here want to help, and pass on their knowledge. We're here to support each other.

The products you've bought. Either pick one and stick with it, or put 'em away for another day. I don't know what 'solutions' you've spent your money on, but don't buy any more! I once had a drive containing over 1TB of info products etc. Of course most of them were never looked at, and some of them were followed up with a "you can't get it to work unless you join our $xxxx one to one course". If any of the products are within date, get your money back - Today.

The easiest route to a quicker income is probably start with affiliate marketing.

You don't need your own product, and can advertize directly via your site, and with a mailing list. To build a list you need traffic. I have a good free list building book on my main site if you're interested.

If you're looking to be led by the hand, there's a line at the bottom of my sig file which can help you there. It costs nothing to take a look, and there's no opt in or fee.

One important factor. The articles/posts on your site must be worth reading. They must be of value to visitors. All your traffic efforts will bring people to this site, and they will decide what to do based on what they find there - join your list - buy something - comment - leave. It's up to you.

This is getting a bit long, I hope it's helped.

Don't give up, listen to the Warriors

      Good luck

Thank you so much Alan, (..and all the rest who have taken the time to reply to my desperate plea's of help)

So the bottomline is that I have to make an honest effort at this; no shortcuts.

I have to be patient; and work at making my skills better.

What I had done is; because the WSO's looked so promising from their sales page, I bought tons of them. Thinking they will have the elements for me to crack the code (so to speak). They gave me an idea; but, mostly I felt empty from the inside because nothing worked.

In the process I got on mailing lists of so many guru's who kept promising amazing figures, a lifestyle, and nothing but the best. So far, I can safely say, I haven't made a dime using their strategies.

............Now, the only product I am happy to have in my arsenal is a few years ago, Alex Edevane's came out with MOLB 1% formula. This was truly a great product as it went into so much detail, and the basics he explains are great.

One thing I have to explain to the guru's is that please, when you market to us newbies, we require a certain hand holding. Please, please put in a lots of details for us duffers. We require a lot of hand holding.

Thanks a lot guys for your time, it almost seems like a family here and I am happy to be a part of it.

Alan these are some great words of wisdom and encouragement. I appreciate it very much. One thing that has kinds jumped out at me is this "Do you need to learn technical things or marketing things first?" In other words which skill do I need to concentrate on initially. I come from a corporate background and have neither of these skills yet.

Forget the emailed links to promises of untold wealth. Some are genuinely excellent products, but many are not. The trouble is, you don't yet know which is which - yet.

I'll try to answer your question as simply as possible.

So the learning process in brief.

      The short version:
You need to learn the marketing things first, then the techie stuff to apply it.

The elaborate version: It's a decision then action process.

You need to know What - Why - How, at each stage.

Research is part of Marketing, but also requires some learning to do it.
      What: Market and Niche do you want to work in (IM, Fat Loss, Dog Recipes etc.);
Why: Are you selecting that market:
How: Can you find out what people want.

What: Method of marketing will you start out with (Blogging, Affiliate Marketing etc.)
Why: Is this my preferred method
      How: Do I start?
Bear with me this is tricky. Moving on . . .

Say you have decided that you will be marketing affiliate products in Internet Marketing .

      1. To market these you will need an internet presence - a website or blog (marketing)
      2. Now you need to create a blog (technical)

      3. You will need products to market (marketing)
      4. Use the internet to locate them and add them to your site (technical)

      5. You need customers to buy from you (marketing)
      6. You set up ways to attract them and sell to them (technical)

      etc., etc.
      Last Example - Promise.
What : You need to build a list of prospective customers
Why: Without customers you have no business
How: A method including an autoresponder
I hope you get my point.
Each 'stage' is to identify the marketing requirement, then learn the skill to make it happen, which involves learning another technical skill.

When I started, I knew nothing about IM, and even less about the technical aspects. With no startup money at all, I had to self teach each and every stage (with help from blogs etc., and more recently The Warrior Forum).

It can be done, if you have the patience, and some time.

If you want a reliable rock solid way to start quickly, and go step by step to success, there's a link at the bottom of my sig file which will help. I am an affiliate, but you'll find this is arguably the best way any newbie can start, period. You want layman's terms with no assumptions of prior knowledge? Then you're in the right place.

If this is as clear as mud, I apologise. It makes sense in my head.

I hope this makes some sense, and helps you on the path to a self determined future, and personal success.

      Best wishes

      Alan

        Best wishes

        Alan

        .
        Alan,

Man this is incredible. I appreciate very much you taking the time to write all this. Yes for the most part it makes sense. What you have done here is make it clear that both skills are required at different points in the process. That is what I had concluded but just wasn't sure I was right. This is a very good way for me to focus and I will use it wisely.

look I been donig this for years now, and I am full time.

I did not see the big $$$ come in till i did the following things

    1) Stick to one thing religiously. There is no holy grail.

    2) Time management, I work on this stuff many hours a day, not goof off all day.

    3) Build a list, if you are doing that you are ultimately building a real business and getting clients you can sell to on a regular basis.

Do these things and you will see money come in continuously.

Exactly above, those 3 points are very valid and it's how I will be doing mine too.

Try to go over the basics and then decide where you are interested and comfortable with. Then, master that strategy.

You can make money very easily in this business. $20-$50/day is nothing.. Do you have any money to start with, or are you starting from scratch?

    Hey Alex ,

    Here are my suggestions :

    1. As I can understand from your message you are unfocused .

This is what most of us do when we begin and believe it or not it is the main reason for the failure of the vast majority of marketers. If you keep of jumping from system to system, believe me you are going to fail .

    So, what is the solution?

    The solution is simple ...

Choose one traffic source or system which is proven to work and focus on it until you make it work. This is very critical.

Stop jumping from one system to another.

Focus on only 1 proven system, master it and make it work .

    2. I also want to tell you that ...

Whenever you start, start with what is already proven to work . You don't need to reinvest the wheel.

    The truth is ...

Marketers spend lots of time in promoting their products and designing their sales process. So, everything, what works or not is ready in front of you.

    The takeaway is ...

Go and get successful marketers and try to spy, observe and analyze everything they do it make money .

Believe it or not, every successful marketers start by spying their competitors.

    Therefore, don't start from Zero.

So, go and spy successful marketers and try to see how they are doing.

    Hope it helps.

    Cheers,
    Mike

The best advice I can give you is this:

Don't believe in the promises of you will making tons of money doing nothing.

As some folks said in this post, you need to work, nothing comes without effort. Stick to the easy and free ones in the beginning, such as article marketing (where you are the article writer) and backlinking.

Once you get some results you can invest in some paid SEO.

    Good luck.

I agree with everoyne, stick with one thing and I would say the best thing would be CPA... search 'Kenster' and you should find some good results.

    All excellent advice!

One thing I would add would be that before you try any SEO strategies to get traffic to your website, verify that you can actually convert the keywords you're targeting into sales by buying the terms via PPC. (The key to not losing your shirt is to ONLY bid on the search network, and ONLY bid on exact match keywords. don't go with the AdWords default of "all match types" and "all networks".)

Alex it sounds to me that you are in need of a good coach/mentor who can steer you in the right direction. Most good coaches will keep you focused and on track to making the type of income that you really want. Even the best have or at one time had a coach.

different people have different path to succeed. you can't copy someone else's success just because you try. you have to think carefully who you are, what're you strong at, stuff like those.

then you need to try a little directions before finally settle the best suited one.

    just my two cents
