This Astounds me! Will Companies Stand Up For Themselves? Or Keep Giving In?

Yoplait, a General Mills company which sells yogurt, has pulled an ad because the National Eating Disorders Association has said it could trigger "dangerous behavior" in those suffering from eating disorders.

I hate seeing companies give in to these crazy demands, and all the political correctness crap. Where is PERSONAL responsibility in the world today?!

Here's the article:

Yoplait Pulls Ad Said To Promote Eating Disorders

And here's the commercial that was pulled:

That ad should have been pulled.

How are the millions of families who sacrificed their ability to afford enough food and bought a big screen TV instead supposed to feel if they watch that.

Cheesecake or Dancing With the Stars. Good grief, life needs to be fair. That commercial is just not fair.

Somebody needs to step in and level the playing field.

      Sign me on that list.

Ya know what's even sicker - we LET them tell us what we can say and what we can't. So what happens if 300 Million people tell the PC police to go take a flying f**k at a rolling donut? They gonna take us all to court for it? Gone to far - speak your mind and when they tell you that you can't say that because YOU are responsible for someone else's mental meltdowns - turn around and counter-sue for care taking fees.

The slide show that accompanies the article mentions:

"In 2007, Apple pulled the tagline "You can't be too thin. Or too powerful." from advertisements for a newer - and smaller - iMac"

I didn't realize that PC craziness had gotten this absurd.

    Speak up cheesecake baking association!

The commercial actually seemed to shine a light on the pattern of overeating temptation.
