Newly discovered "American Corporate Perspective" on food legalities seems to be "if it hasn't been determined as dangerous and it can make a profit, it's ok".

So poison has been pre-engineered into seeds, as pesticides.

Count me as totally blown away. I commend her for bringing this to light. How could the US allow these manufacturing practices to take place?

What I find terrifying is that these pesticides are "natural" and self replicating - that means they get into your gut bacteria and turn it into pesticide factories. Someone should be shot for loosing this stuff into the environment, plants, animals, or humans. This is murder, plain and simple. Say aloha to the US population explosion. Tell kids to kiss inheritances goodbye, too - that stuff will give people diseases that will cost them every cent they've ever seen on their way out.

I can remember when soy was a "go-to" food... even as a meat replacement in some recipes, as well as a milk replacement (soy milk) in others. Now it appears that soy, corn, and probably a host more that we'll never know about are simple poisons.

Maybe I can talk dad into helping me start a garden -- but then again, how will I know the "engineered" seeds to NOT PLANT?
