I came across this at the Road Star Clinic.
Knowing there are a lot of Canadians and musicians here I wanted to pass it along.

My heart goes out to the guy on CL. Reminds me a bit of the scene in Pulp Fiction.

    : Still got your Malibu?
: Aw, man. You know what some ****er did the other day?
    : What?
    : ****ing keyed it.
: Oh, man, that's ****ed up.
: Tell me about it. I had it in storage for three years, it was out for five days and some dickless piece of **** ****ed with it.
: They should be ****ing killed. No trial, no jury, straight to execution.
: Boy, I wish I could've caught him doing it. I'd have given anything to catch that asshole doing it. It'd been worth him doing it just so I could've caught him doing it.
    : What a ****er!
    : What's more chicken**** than ****ing with a man's automobile? I mean, don't **** with another man's vehicle.
    : You don't do it.
: It's just against the rules.

What's more chicken**** than ****ing with a man's automobile? Stealing his damn guitar!

I know. When I read his story on CL about the guitar, I felt like I had to do everything I could to help him out.
I have an old set of conga drums I bought used in 75 for $80.
I've just finished restoring them and even though I'd probably only get 80 bucks for them if I sold them, to me they are priceless. The memories they hold can never be replaced.
Even when I sold my kit in 98 I turned down offers for more then I wanted because I was looking for the right buyer. When he came along, he got them for 100 less then I was asking. They now set in his private drum museum.
But it was how he reacted when he first saw them that convinced me he would be going home with them.
When you own an instrument for a long time, they become a part of your family and take on their own life.
