According to the logo since 1997... or older and it became #1 in '97.

In one of the threads on the main forum I remember Paul Myers recently saying that he started being a moderator around March of 1987. He pissed off his first spammer in 1988 or so. Don't know why it took him so long, lol. I can't find that thread, but I'm sure a few of the big name gurus got their start even earlier.

Yea where is that thread? I was reading that too.

I was pretty sure that guy started a thread down here recently...now I can't find his name to look for the thread.

I like hearing about how things were back then...long before I started.

I once started a thread on the main forum about comparisons from then till now...didn't really go anywhere.

But kudo's to Matt Maiden for giving some insights..I truly appreciated it.

The earliest join date you'll see here is July 2002, because that's when the Warrior Forum switched formats entirely, requiring members at the time to re-register. (When it later transited to it's current version, I believe the majority of user accounts were transferred over automatically.)

There are actually quite a few people who were around pre-July '02, and are still here.

I think I am almost at 7 - and I was already here awhile when we switched to the new format (2008).

I think the forum is older than 10 years old and went through a few evolutions - I could be wrong - usually am ...

What do you mean by THAT? Anyway, even 2003 is almost 9 years! Besides, the site has changed about 3 times since I joined, and I believe all 3 were before my accident in early 2005. Did all that happen in 2 years? I doubt it. That is also when I made almost every post I made. For quite a while, I was the most prolific poster on the forum.

          Well you said this
"GOD, I've been here really since like 1999 or 2000"
Which sounded to me like you've been stuck at the bar here since then. You know like your comment on my weird living room when I mention how bad the roads are here

    Paul,

The moderating in '87 was not here. I didn't join the Warriors until 10 years after that. A few of the people who were here before me are still around. I believe Kurt was, and I'm sure Bryan Kumar and Kenneth Tang were. Also Kunle Olomofe, John Kennedy (I think), and a few others. Quite possibly KimW.

There are actually quite a large number of us who were here before the 2002 date that's the earliest this board shows.

I was here in 97, but didn't post much between then and 2002 simply because I didn't like the old forum software and was an "irregular" during that time.

Well the forum and many of it's members have certainly been around for a long time.

Derek I never really thought about all the 'older forum members' mainly posting in the OT section, but I guess it's true. I find the main section is filled with newbies and the same questions being asked over and over and over and over.....
