2012 Galactic Alignment

This was in the Non-Nonsense thread but as everyone is stuck in the 'political' groove and no longer interested in discussing the bigger picture, there was some important stuff buried in there. To ensure it gets seen I'm putting the info on a new thread.

The Photon Belt has turned up! Also 8 years ago science discovered "supermassive blackholes" at the centre of all active galaxies. And the highest energy photons ever discovered in the Galaxy - 3.5 trillion electron volts - are streaming along the galactic equator. That's a "photon belt" by any definition.

NYU > The Office of Public Affairs > Physicists Find Evidence for Highest Energy Photons Ever Detected From Milky Way's Equator
BBC - Science & Nature - Horizon - Supermassive Black Holes

As many of you know, The Precession Of The Equinoxes occurs on 21st December 2012. It happens roughly every 26,000 years and is not up for dispute. It is a fact that we will be at the dead centre of the Galactic Equator then. Coincidentally there are numerous prophecies around the world for this date, not least the Mayan Calendar. It is also a fact that there is a huge Solar Maximum scheduled for that date. There has never been a society dependant on electronics that has been around when such a huge Solar Maximum takes place. It will not be a good day for us.

New Agers have been adamant for years that Earth will pass through a Photon Belt on this day, and having been bathed in this Light will experience a "cleansing" of the Earth and spiritual transformation. Everyone was quoting from the same magazine article and I could never find independant verification. The "journalist" didn't appear to exist either. Now I'm wondering whether it was deliberately 'seeded' to convince people to view it in a certain way. To listen to the New Agers, you'd think it was fairy dust coming to spread the luuurve. Oh, it'll cleanse the Earth alright, but these are GAMMA RAYS so they'll fry us if they get through the Heliopause which protects our Solar System.

Dr Paul LaVoilletes work - which is being vindicated - suggests this is likely, and will set off a "Superwave". As it's a cyclical event it will happen at some point. It may not happen now, but given the definites of the alignment and Solar Maximum, it is not illogical to see that it could also occur on this very day. All the pieces will be in place. It has recently been noted that the heliopause is letting in 3x as much Cosmic dust as it did at the last Solar Maximum in 2001 (a baby one compared with the next one).

Nobody knows why.

Here's a simplistic description of the planetary 'barycenters' and why they'll be disrupted on that date, and what exactly happens when we align with the ecliptic. (I'd also suggest you read page 2 because not only does it bring in LaVoillettes work and the heliopause, but it has some very startling cave drawings which match recent lab experiments, even to the '56 rays' streaming from the poles.)

The duel between Jupiter and Saturn is particularly intriguing as they equate in mythology to "God" and "Satan" - so metaphorically God and Satan - or Good and Evil - are battling. Not too different from what's going on down here. ;-)

It's ironic (or maybe not) that the Mayan Calendar is often called the "sun stone." While the calendar does have "solar" days, acknowledging the 365 days it takes for Earth to rotate around the Sun, it is also true that the Sun plays a key role in the final day of the "long count." To understand what will happen to the Sun on December 21, 2012, we need to review some scientific terms like "ecliptic," "barycenter," and "sunspots." These are important in the discussion that follows. We'll start with the most difficult one first.

Terms we will encounter...
What is the Barycenter?

You've no doubt heard that Earth revolves around the sun. Well, actually, that's not quite true!

Have you heard the term "center of gravity"? It's a technical-sounding term for something pretty simple. It's the exact center of all the material (that is, mass) that makes up the object. For example, if you have a straight stick, like a ruler or yardstick, there's a place at the middle where you can balance it on your finger. That's its center of gravity.

But the center of gravity may or may not be the point that is exactly in the middle, distance-wise, of the object. Some parts of the object may be heavier (denser) than others. If you have something like a sledge hammer that is heavier on one end than the other, the center of gravity will be much closer to the heavy end than the lighter end.

To get an idea of where the center of gravity is, rest the ends of any object like the ruler or a pencil on one finger from each hand. Slowly move your fingers together without dropping the object. Your fingers will meet underneath the object's center of gravity. You can balance the object on one finger at that special place.
The actual center of gravity could be close to the surface or deep inside, depending on whether the object is flat like a ruler or a dinner plate, or "three-dimensional," like a box or a ball. And if you let the object spin (like when you throw it), it will try to spin about that point.

In the case of the Earth and the sun, both bodies actually revolve, or spin, around the very center of the mass (similar to center of gravity) between them. This point is called the "barycenter." Earth and the sun are "connected" by the gravity pulling them together. It's just like the light end and heavy end of the sledge hammer. Compared to the size of the sun, Earth is about like a flea on a cat! So the center of mass between the Earth and the sun is almost--but not quite--the very center of the sun.

In the case of a planet the size of Jupiter, which is 318 times as massive as Earth, the barycenter of Jupiter and the sun is a bit further from the sun's center. So, as Jupiter revolves around the sun, the sun itself is actually revolving around this slightly off-center point, located just outside its center. Thus, a planet the size of Jupiter will make the sun (or any star) appear to wobble a tiny bit. This picture shows you that the center of mass and barycenter can be slightly different points. It isn't meant to be very accurate!
We can take advantage of this bit of knowledge and look for large planets in other solar systems by learning to detect this type of tiny wobble in the star's position.

For now, let's forget all the small planets and focus on Jupiter. It makes one complete trip around the Sun every 11.861773 years. There's a new theory put forth by Dr. Rollin Gillespie which shows that Jupiter, and to a smaller degree the other less massive planets, may trigger the 11 year cycle of sunspots and solar flares.

The barycenter is not a single point in the Sun. Because the Sun is a rotating gaseous sphere, the barycenter forms a vertical, cylindrical "sleeve" that is partially inside and outside the main solar body. All of the planets have such a "sleeve," one inside the other, depending on their relative mass and the location of their barycenters. The particular sleeve representing the mass of Jupiter intersects the solar surface at 35.9 degrees North and South. This is precisely where sunspot and flare activity begin and end during each 11 year cycle.

The new cycle has already begun with the recent observation of a solar spot with reverse polarity. But some surprising activity on March 27, 2008, shows some huge eruptions with M-class radiation at about the equatorial region of the Sun. []. These surprising eruptions suggests a barycenter of disturbance from an object even more massive than Jupiter, placing the "sleeve" outside the Sun. Could this be the beginning of the Galaxy's effects (keep reading to learn more about this) on our Sun?

Scientists have noted that when Jupiter and Saturn are aligned on the same side of the Sun, the solar activity is at its minimum; when they are on opposite sides of the Sun the solar activity is at its maximum. The positions on December 21, 2012 are ideal for extreme solar activity.

Above: Position of Jupiter and Saturn on 12/21/2012.
These cylinders are usually quite orderly because the planets adhere to a narrow plane, called the ecliptic which resembles a thin plate extending from the equator of the Sun. The planets hang out here because (in simple terms) this is the zone where the gravitation of the system is the strongest. (see below)

The planets orbit the Sun in a narrow plane called the ecliptic.

But nature is never perfect. The Sun rotates at a slight angle (7.25 degrees), much as our Earth does. As it wobbles, it tilts the sleeves, causing them to clash with eachother and eventually disrupt the surface. Havine the barycenters of the to most massive planets, Jupiter and Saturn, in maximum misalignment is especially disruptive. This disturbance, to put it simply, works its way to the surface and erupts in sun spots and solar flares or CME's (Coronal Mass Ejections).

The last solar cycle was at its maximum in 2001. Each active solar cycle has a period when the flares are strongest, usually happening near the solar equator, called the "solar maximum." This is significant because the next "solar maximum" event will coincide with December 21, 2012. But wait -- there's much more!

Solar flares are pieces of the sun which leap into space, discharging radiation and strong electrical currents that travel outward into space. They often fall back to the surface of the Sun. Sometimes, a very strong flare, called a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME), actually leaves the Sun and this deadly mass shoots out from the Sun towards the planets like a bullet. Usually these CME's don't hit anything but occasionally they hit a planet like Earth. Some believe a powerful CME once hit Mars.

Most solar flares are small. But even a small flare can be dangerous. In 1989 a flare hit the North American continent and fried electric lines, zapped power grids in the US and Canada, and created large power backouts. Flares can also effect our moods and physical health. In theory, a large flare impacting the Earth could zap the ionosphere (there goes all the satellites, cellphones, GPS...) and irradiate the surface, killing every living organism that it touched.

Solar flares and sun spots have an average cycle of 11.120412 years (estimated from one "solar maximum" to the next). Right now, 2007, we are in a relatively quiet part of the cycle. The small discrepancy between this figure and the 11.861773 year period of Jupiter is close enough to be significant but suggests that something else is also influencing solar disturbances. Sure, it could be attributed to the various positions of the other less massive planets, but it could also be something even more significant -- the Milky Way.

The Perfect Storm
Our solar system is part of a huge disc shaped collection of stars and planets called the Milky Way. We're located somewhere on the edge of the disc, slightly on top of the narrow disc. But very soon we'll be moving to the bottom of the disc. This change, from top to bottom, begins on December 21, 2012.

Yes, that's right. On the same day when our Sun is at it's solar maximum, something will happen that's never happened before -- the ecliptic of our solar system will intersect with the Galactic plane, called the "Galactic Equator" of the Milky Way! [see ].
If you imagine our solar system as a bunch of peas on a plate, with a huge meatball in the center, imagine the Milky Way as a city-size pizza with the "Guiness World Book Record Meatball" in its center!

Prior to December 2012 we have been drifting on the top of the pizza, never really able to see the bottom. The plate and pizza are not parallel. They are moving at different angles. We've been drifting down, down, down... and on December 21st, 2012, we will be exactly level with the crust -- forming an "x" at the Galactic Equator where galactic gravity is the strongest. After 2012, if we are still here, we will be passing through the bottom zone, viewing the Milky Way pizza from the South.
Yes, there's even more!

By some amazing coincidence, not only will we be intersecting with the Galactic Equator, but we will be doing this precisely aligned with the center of the Galaxy where there is maximum mass! More mass means more gravity. More gravity means more influence from those barycenters in our Sun. That means exponential increases in solar disruptions -- all coinciding on the same day! Whew!

[Above: The Hercules Cluster of galaxies. This group of galaxies is held together by the gravitational attraction or "pull" of each individual galaxy on the others in the group. This demonstrates the enormous gravity contained in a galaxy, such as our own Milky Way.]

OK. This has been a "light weight" description of what's going to happen. It has been simplified to the point where some scholars and scientists could argue about my presentation. But the main facts are true. The date, December 21, 2012, is a special day. It represents the maximum possible influences for solar flares that the universe can provide. Undoubtedly the Mayans, or the civilization that influenced them, somehow knew about these things.

Over the last decade, I have written a variety of stories about such things as underground cities and government actions that could only make sense if there were no future. I cannot help but think that maybe they, like the Mayans, know about these things. I'd specifically like to suggest that readers take another look at that the Russians are building. Could this be a haven for surviving a solar blast? And the "" that's being filled deep inside an Arctic island. And what about past events? Did the Hopi go underground to survive a similar event thousands of years earlier? Should we be going underground also?

It's also important to stress that December 21, 2012 is only the "solar maximum" but that the gravitational effects of the Galaxy have already started to assert their influence on the Sun. The drift towards alignment with the galactic equator is relatively slow and, in truth, has already started. But the precise culmination of this, plus the alignment of Jupiter and Saturn all make 12/21/12 an onimous date.

I especially want to thank Dr. Rollin Gillespie, a man with whom I corresponded for ten years and who first developed the idea that planetary multi-body systems could be at play in the causation of solar flares. More of his work can be read on a on Viewzone.
Please let's have your input on this important issue. It's only six years away. Who knows, perhaps the influences of these disruptions will begin well before the solar and Galactic maximum is reached. We may not have that much time left. Here are some additional links to stories that may help understand the possibilities facing our planet and us.

  • I love this, it is so cool....

From a Hopi Elder as told to Dr Robert Ghost Wolf:

"The Purifier will appear as the Red Kachina, maybe that means it will appear red in the telescopes that the scientists use. It will remain in place for a long time. That is when Saquasohuh, the one that is called the Blue Star Kachina will also return."

And look what the Hubble came across in 1996.

It's also a spooky match for the Vesica Pisces, a very profound symbol known to most cultures:

**"The Vesica Pisces is easily one of the most profound geometrical images of ancient and modern times.

Essentially the intersection of two, overlapping spheres, the Vesica Pisces (including the interior portion of it, and/or the more common two dimensional version) represents, among other things:

    1) The joining of God and Goddess to create an offspring,
    2) A symbol for Jesus Christ,
    3) In art a pointed oval used as an aureole in medieval sculpture and painting,
    4) The vagina of the female goddess,
    5) The basic motif in the Flower of Life,
    6) An overlay of the Tree of Life,
    7) The formative power of polygons,
    8) A geometrical description of square roots and harmonic proportions, and/or
    7) A source of immense power and energy, .....

  • Dude,

I've been reading this myself BUT the one thing that does trip me out is that the Mayans also predicted an event to take place on 12/21/12

Go on youtube and look up planet x it also talks about this event - scary stuff.

    • What about the Schuman resonance?

"Time will appear to speed up as we approach Zero Point. A 24
hour day will seem to about 16 hours or less. Remember the Schumann
Resonance (or "heart beat" of Mother Earth) has been 7.8 cycles for
thousands of years, but has been rising since 1980. It is at about 12
cycles at present. It stops at 13 cycles."

  • I'm having some trouble here. I can't figure out which is more interesting, the original post or the debate between myob and Phnx.

I felt a reply was necessary to try to breathe some life back into this debate. It's not 2012 yet; there's still time!

Seriously though, this is a very interesting and informative post. Of course, as the debate proves, we're each left to draw our own conclusions. But the facts give me enough info so that I can draw my own with a whole lot more knowledge than I had before discovering this post. I really enjoyed reading this entire thread and sharing the information with my son (the conversation being more focused on space than doomsday, of course. I'm sure he doesn't want to be blown up, deep fried, disintegrated when he's 12).

P.S. Either way you look at it, there wouldn't be much point of drawing up a will on 12/20/2012, would there?
  • Dang it, my final Porsche payment is on January 14th, 2013
  • Let see now the world ended on Dec 31/99 at midnight. We are still here. 2012 well another fairy tale.
Seems like all is okay. no need to worry people.
  • Just curious here...maybe this is a dumb question...

You said the Myans and others did all those cave drawings and such, but after they did those where'd they go?

Was that before their "transformation" and they than died? Or did they live through it?

And if they lived through it why isn't there more info from the Myans and others about this?

I haven't looked into any of this at all so maybe i'm making no sense.

    • Blimey, this is an old thread!

The Mayan didn't do those drawings, it was the the ancestors of the Aborigines of Australia, and those in Peru. Plenty of those people still around but whether they know what the cave drawings represent, dunno. It's like the Easter Island Statues, or the great chalk drawings in the hills over here..or Stonehenge etc...we can only guess as to who did them and why.

We are talking around 15,000 years ago (12,950 BC) when the last solar 'extinction event' allegedly occurred, (which just coincidentally matches the dating for many of those 'z pinch' petroglyphs) so any info will be encoded in myths and legend and not easily available. (It's curious that the lab experiments and the petroglyphs show a preference for 56 'rays'.)

The current breech in the heliopause is not something to ignore either.

Had to go hunt out that link again, but it makes interesting reading, especially re the z-pinch experiments....

"Perhaps the most dramatic evidence of what we can expect in 2012 comes from the most unlikely place -- ancient petroglyphs! Ancient rock carvings from around the globe, created during the last solar "zap" 14,950 years ago, seem to illustrate a spectacular event that happened when the Earth was last hit by extremely high radiation."

Guess we'll find out soon enough if anything is gonna happen.
  • MYOB: Keep predicting. Some day you might be absolutely right - in a few billion more years.

The earth is only approximately 7000 years old and will be coming to an end as we know it in the VERY near future according to the Bible.
    • [3] replies
    • That is my point, dlwebb610; the infinitesmally low improbability in 2012 is like saying a solar eclipse will usher in the end of days. The Bible also says that no one knows the day nor the hour. Actually, the only thing that I can even predict with any certainty at all is the stock market and real estate; of which I've been right over 92% of the time for the last 17 years. Those who buy stocks and real estate now will become extremely wealthy within the next 10 to 15 years. It's in the stars, but I digress.

Anyway , the doom sayers will be right finally someday. Afterall, even a broken, dysfuntional watch has the right time, sometimes. Dysfunctional superstition posing as science abounds, and rare astronomical events such as this "Galactic Alignment" doom in 2012 is no exception to this highly predictable psycological phenomena. The Maya population were mostly illiterate farmers and laborers, who were controlled by the kings, nobles, priests and scribes through religious and superstitious myths laced into observable cosmic events such as the winter and summer solstices, solar eclipses and star positions.

Mundane facts indicate that the Mayan kings and nobles were focused more on short-term projects like enriching themselves and building monuments than in predicting the end of the world or the dawning of a New Age. The Maya developed their own mythology just like the Greeks and Romans have done as evidenced in the Western-adopted silly superstitions that we now have such as Astrology and other psuedo-science bull shit.

The Maya, Egyptians, Chinese and various other agrarian cultures developed highly advanced calendars for planting seasons which also predicted the astronomical phenomena of the Sun and solar system passing through the plane of the galactic ecliptic. This event happens regularly about every 26,000 years. There is nothing that I have seen where the ancients actually prophesy it to be the end of the world; this appears to be a modern or "new age" interpretation.

My best guess is that it may also be a conspiracy by businesses that got left with a lot of survivalist equipment inventory after Y2K and other similar scares. Ancient bullshit just keeps getting recycled for new suckers year after year.

Seriously, dlwebb610, you are falling into the same trap by even believing all this junk yourself. The Bible says "For false Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect." (Matthew 24:24)
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • You're probably right...
    • Well, there IS a lot of truth in it. Some things people claimed were not true are now established FACT! It SAID what would happen with the muslims, and it DID! It EVEN has a reference to the MUSLIM temple in israel, built against the ruins of the jewish one. So SOME stuff is SHOCKING.

It predicts that a leader will move many to his side and lead a rebellion to try to bring the whole world under one government and the base cause will be ETHNIC differences!

That last part may be TOTAL bunk! Maybe it isn't gods word! Maybe it was a LIE! But they are certainly TRYING and to some degree SUCCEEDING!

So YEAH, read it like a fairy tale if you want. If you do, at least READ BETWEEN THE LINES! I recently said the same about "RISE of the planet of the apes". I KNOW that is bunk, but there was a LOT of truth in it! Take out the fact that the apes rebelled, and it might be 100% true! Take out the fact that a deadly disease was spread, and it IS 100% true! We KNOW they are working with that "technology". We KNOW they are working on that goal. We KNOW they are working on chimps. etc.... But just saying all that would be a slanderous documentary.

BTW if such a disease were spread, in such a way, it's origins may NEVER be discovered! Hell, in the movie, a pilot, IIRC, spread the disease, through his flight path. There IS a recent example of a flight attendant that did the EXACT same thing! ONE PERSON! THAT virus came to be known as HIV! Interesting little tidbit here! The only similar thing found was a primate disease, and HIV didn't affect some of them in the same way. It makes you think, HUH?

      Steve
  • Now myob you talk about all these predictions of "the end" but the Mayans only had one date predicted a zillion years ago-12-21-2012. And anyone who does the tiniest bit of research knows there calendar went ahead thousands of years, was 100% accurate, and is even more accurate than one modern scientists can come up with. That makes it scary cause is the Mayan calendar 100% accurate on everything but that? So far their track record is 100%. What will happen 12-21-2012, who knows?
    • [1] reply
    • The Maya calendar was thousands of years of non-repeating cycles from August 11, 3114 B.C to December 21, 2012 A.D. The long count calendar or cycle ends on 12-21-2012, then "resets" or starts over again. It is very accurate indeed, but the Maya never indicated or ever prophesied that the world will end.

This "end of the world" scenario using the Maya calendar actually began in the 1960's by writers such as Michael Coe, and later by Charles Gallenkamp and was heavily promoted by Dee Finney's books and online starting in 2005. Others picked up on it, added more spin, and now it is just like the thousands of other similar end of the world "prophecies" throughout the centuries in history. The Maya rulers and nobles made up their own bullshit myths and gods to tell to their illiterate farmers and laborers to govern them and monetize, but the Galactic Alignment is fresh squeezed bullshit with a New Age movement flavoring.

I prophesy that after 2012, there will be more coming catastrophe boogies such as the Apophis death star, an asteroid that will wipe out earth on April 13, 2029, and if that misses, it will come around again on April 13, 2036. This niche market can be milked for at least until 2070, when Apohis will eventually smash into either Earth or the Moon. In either case that, could be the end of life as we know it, unless an advanced civilization from a galaxy far far away intervenes in time to save our planet. But that is another story. To be continued ...

I have found a very detailed, thorough and scientific strong text (pdf book) ( I bought) surveying all these aspects of 2012 ( polar shift, solar flares, Nibiru etc. etc.) and their conclusion is stongly that there are no valid scientific reasons to fear these so catastrophic scenarios you, P. Geryl and others proclaim, except the solar flares climaxing on 2012( and that might be bad enough!). I recommend you to read this pdf if you haven“t and give your opinion. If you can do that in a convincing way i will for sure buy and recommend your package. That you also seems to cover the correct NWO aspects honours you anyhow !

  • Another interesting point I haven't seen brought up...

Several of the planets that are aligning on this date were scientifically impossible for the Mayans to have known existed. The ones they did know to exist have aligned several times during this period of time. So how, exactly, could the Mayans have predicted the precise date of an event they could not possibly describe?

Most people are simply not in tune with the universe, and seriously underestimate the power of being in tune with it.

That said, it's not a doomsday prediction. It's the marker for the previous creation. The Mayans believed that the universe is recreated over and over again, but each time it has been flawed - the success of each creation is measured against those which came before. The 12-21-2012 date is not a prediction of doomsday, it is a marker for how long the previous creation successfully lasted... it's when the previous creation was destroyed, and this one began anew. It's the date that we are officially an improvement over the previous creation.

Were the Mayans around today, there would be no panic or fear - they would just be planning a massive party. We're winning. And on that fateful day marked on their calendar, we will have won.

Interesting post. I hope nothing bad happens.
  • Undoubtedly (a fact without doubt) the Mayans knew that these things would happen in 2012. . . . . Ok.

People assume that because the Mayans calendar ends on 12/21/12 means that this is the end of days and the end of the world. However, let's take a look at how their system works. They relied on the Long Count of which the Great Cycle was a part of. The Great Cycle ends on 12/21/12. It consists of 13 Bak'tuns which are 400 years of 360 day years which is close, but not quite to our actual year. Because the Great Cycle ends next year, it seems like a great end to this world, however, it is just the end of the 13th Bak'tun of that cycle. It also just means that 12/22/12 is the first day of the 14th Bak'tun. Had they ended their count after 14 Bak'tuns, people in the 25th century would be heralding the end of the world then. Just as the people would have in the 17th century had they ended with 12 Bak'tuns and the people knew of that date. Would it be feasible for the Mayans to count to infinity? I don't think so, so they made even higher units of measurements.

Furthermore, the Maya conceived of epochs or ages that were much longer than the Great Cycle. A P’iktun was comprised of 20 Bak’tuns. A Kalabtun consisted of 8,000 Bak'tuns. The present P’iktun will end on October 13, 4772 AD, a date which was carved in the Temple of the Inscriptions at Palenque.

So, before people jump to a conclusion based on the Great Cycles numbers, they should know the whole story. The Mayans actually predicted that the world would still be here for several millennia more than the one we are in. So whatever happens in 2012, at least it wasn't because the Mayans knew anything or predicted the end.
  • Galactic alignment will happen then
  • It would be interesting if the Mayan prediction is spot on, but you never know
  • Nice. You lifted someone else's story from here:

Doomsday, The Mayan Calendar and 2012

These playful little banters between us have been going on since the old warrior forum. Glad you enjoyed it.
    • This is a post from the days that a lot of people would just post whole stories......sometimes stories that were way too long to be posted in whole..........but those were the days before the FTC went up in arms and global legislation against copyright violation got fierce. The warriors didn't post the articles on blogs (at least honest ones) and that kind of things - just in the forum for means of discussion. It's now a very frowned upon practice in forums just as anywhere else.

It's all good. You missed some hella marathon threads back in the day. Some serious discussions -- some really bizarre. If you never got to read the 80 page Nonsense thread, you missed the best Off the Topic thread to ever hit a forum.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • good post! 100% we'll all die...sometimes ))

12-21-2012 will tell us what will going to happen on that day, We just have to wait for more than 1 year and then this prediction will end...

I don't believe on predictions or something But I believe that day is special, not to count its my birthday..lol

    • Oh my gosh... you have got to be kidding me. This thread cracks me up, as I just found out that I can review some of my old threads. lol!

Hey ya'll, it is 2012 now! I so fell for a lot of this stuff. I still do. It's just wild to see this post....

  • Great information in this thread! I'm kinda a science freak.
All I know is that I'm going to horde this over my kids and the next generation forever!

    "Did you survive the Y2K?"
    "Did you survive the 2012?"
"Have you ever seen a galactic alignment?"
"No? Then shut up and eat your vegetables and don't question your father!"

    Hahahaha.

    • Hiya seasoned.

Yeah, I have read through an awful lot of stuff in the past 3-4 years - checked into a bit of EVERYTHING. :::Overload, overload - warning warning!:::

Felt like that robot on "lost in space" waving my arms around. Think I've finally calmed down, but still have my days.

bailbondsguys and myob have me chuckling. Dad has been telling me for years to eat my vegetables. LOL!

Working on the y2k project for 3 years sufficiently calmed me down, so by the time 2000 rolled through I wasn't near as worried as I had been before I started working on that project.

Quite the big difference from me 3 years ago and now too. Well... I'm still goofy, but I doubt that part will ever change.
  • Attaboy Steve, dont be afraid to pick up the argument right where it left off 2 years ago

hahaha (just joking btw, dont take it serious)

  • this is interesting,, so what's gonna happen if that happens? I mean planetary alignment?
    • [1] reply
    • There never has been and never will be an alignment of all the planets, because each planetary orbit is tilted slightly relative to each other. And none will even be close to alignment until along about 2040. But, until then there will always be plenty of other things to worry about. Since galactic alignment can never really happen as so highly touted about in this thread and others, you might be interested to find out what is really going to happen by reading this much acclaimed book: "The Complete Idiot's Guide to 2012" by Dr. Synthia Andrews (published Oct 7, 2008).
