filezilla and FTP details!

On my Hosting service i tried to access my files and filezilla wont connect it says connect established and waiting for welcome message. But it always times out can anyone help me?

    Did you try FTP and SFTP? THEY are the two most common standards. Filezilla allows like 6 basic variants. ALSO, MANY FTP versions have a file that must be setup to allow users to FTP. Did you set the transfer mode? Did you change the port? Did you setup a normal login?

    In most cases, you need to ONLY change the ftp/sftp part.

    BTW I BELIEVE the active/passive setting could present the problem you have.

      Yes its normal login and it establishes a connection but the connection times out?
