Chris Hansen Caught Cheating On Wife By Hidden Camera: 'To Catch A Predator' Host Nailed: Report
  • Profile picture of the author Kirk VDL
I wonder if Chris confronted himself with the video footage and told himself to take a seat while he reads aloud all the creepy things he's written to his mistress. And after he leaves his house, his wife, dressed in camouflage, jumps out from the bushes and tackles him.

I don't think this is on a level with child predators - which is what the show exposes. He cheats on his wife - and that makes him different form other celebrities...how?

HuffPost is getting pretty low if they now resort to finding "news" in the National Enquirer

Of course it's not on the level with child predators but...

The Huff Post has been engaging in getting news from all sorts of sources from day 1.

A joke told at the White House Correspondents' Dinner went something like this...

People who were invited to the Huff Post's after party were told to go to other parties first and bring food and drink to the Huff Post's party.

        The Enquirer nailed John Edwards.

HuffPost is now an extension of AOL and its agenda.

A man cheating on his wife is a private matter between consenting adults and cannot be compared to preying on children. The headline suggests otherwise which is misleading and downright cheating on the reader.

        I agree Kay.
If it was the guy who does the show 'Cheaters' then it would maybe be news worthy., but this guy? Not even on a slow news day.

          Hahaha,

"Mr. Hansen, would you have a seat over here please?"

I wonder if they're going to read embarrassing internet chat logs during the divorce proceedings.

As much as I like his Predator show I have to say that it does raise a few questions about things like entrapment. Not that I'm defending child molesters but the Perverted Justice people will sometimes try for days to get the guy to come over. If you watch the end credits you can see that only the people who admitted their intentions to the police end up with any jail time. This is because they were actually talking to an adult and not a minor so the police need a confession before they can convict.

It has, however, convinced me that when I have kids their computers are going to be filled with every keylogger and remote admin software I can find.

The best security you can have is a computer in a room where others are often present and where you look over your kid's shoulder at will.

I'm shocked at how many of my friends think it is fine for their kid to close the door in his room and be on his computer for hours with no supervision. That's asking for trouble and it's just dumb.

That would be a big part of it, for sure. Some parents have a sort of Lord of the Flies style approach to parenting, letting the kids run wild, with results kind of like what happened in the novel. Some might emerge tough and independent, others totally ruined by it, if they even survive the dangers that they're exposed to in childhood.

That's one of the reasons I don't watch that show. Also it's just a show for ratings like all the rest.
Diligence on the parents part and educating the kids will do a lot more to stop child molesters then that stupid show.

The first "To Catch a Predator" was eye-opening and interesting. The other shows that followed where just pure ratings whoring and turned it into a joke not really helping.

But he has had other stings that helped. There was one where he tracked down one of those Nigerian scammers all over the globe. And also busted sex tourists in Vietnam which led to the release of a lot of children forced to be prostitutes. So he's done a lot of good.

I don't see the joy nor do I see it as karma. He supposedly got busted cheating on his wife so he's a cheating d-bag but he's not even in the ballpark in comparison to those who have been at the end of his stings.

Wow he probably lose all credibility and trust to continue with the show to catch the predator now. Shame!

IMHO, he's not necessary for the show.

Yes it is a shame - he is an adulterer and a slut.

Both are still a long way from a child predator - filthy sick men who prey on children and then lie about it.

Karma? I think not since the show he hosts is a real good way to expose these sickos and give them a dose of 'aversion' therapy - maybe they will think twice before they molest another child online or in person.

Why would he have Karma for that???

His Karma is for cheating on his wife. I hope she nails him in court and kicks him to the curb. Adultery is still not a crime technically, but is grounds for divorce for sure.

If it was there wouldn't be many men or women on the street...

It was a great show and I asked my son to watch it with me. Although we talk about the dangers of the internet, watching something like that happen on tv helped me reiterate the point.

I monitor my kid's internet use. His computer is right next to mine and I can look over and see what he is doing. I have also learned the boy went to a few inappropriate websites. We had a discussion about that issue and I check his history. He learned how to clear his history. I told him if he clears his history, no internet for 30 days. For some kids, grounding them from watching tv is punishment. For my kid, a mention of no internet and he is sure to abide by the rules.

The case that caused the show to end is very interesting. I read a pretty long article about it, and it involved a guy that worked in a DA office in Texas who committed suicide while the local LEO were trying to arrest him.

It seems half of LEO was being directed by Chris Hansen and "Predators" producers.

It's unclear whether the "suspect" was guilty or if he was actually doing his job and working on the case.
