Sexual assualt case agansit ex-IMF chief reported to be close to collapse
I didn't really expect this, but even if they had consensual sex, it was still a grave error of judgement on Dominique Strauss-Kahn's part. He was potentially the next president of France. Just to think that this incident has probably changed the history of France and rest of Europe.

"What's indisputable is that Strauss-Kahn had sexual contact with the accuser, a hotel maid, on May 14. However, there is now serious doubt over the credibility of the accuser and thus her accusation that the sexual contact was non-consensual.

- She has repeatedly lied to authorities since the May 14 incident.
- There are issues involving her asylum application to the US. Two issues are that she told authorities that her application involved a previous case of rape and that she suffered from genital mutilation. However, her actual asylum application showed no evidence of either claims.
