Amazon Gift Card Issue (Considering Legal Action)

Alright, so I received a gift card on January 29th from a GPT site. When I tried to apply it to my account a couple days ago, the code was deemed invalid. I have confirmed that the issue is on Amazon's end with three different Amazon customer service reps. I have saved the Amazon email that contains the email, my email, order number, and claim code from the January 29th reception of the card.

I have been on the phone with Amazon on THREE separate calls, all they keep saying is sorry and we'll get back to you in 1-2 business days. They haven't contacted me back after this two day period, so I called them again. They basically transferred me to another guy as quick as humanly possible and this went on for two hours.


I don't know what to do now, you might say it's only a gift card, but it's more than that. I took the time to earn it, and I refuse to lie down and let the big guys win when I have all the proof on my side. My parents support the decision if I decide to take legal action, but I would prefer for it not to get to that.

Please help me out, what do I do next?

    Go up the chain a bit on them.....floor supervisor, or the next level. I can assure you that 2-3 levels up, that manager will get it done. Most likely they will ask "how in the hell did this get to me?" and start chewing ass. Bet after you tell them the story, they give you a larger card.

    Really all they have to do i invalidate that card and issue a new one with the money on it.

    I have went up the chain a few time....I got the VP of the East Coast for Macy's....trust me...things got done once they heard about it.
