In an age where it is now possible to be famous and successful just from being famous. For example, no talent, knowledge or even brains required. Is the high price of success getting cheaper? Or is this just a faze or fad?

What's your personal opinion? And is this trend bad or good?

Its getting late and I'm having a hard time thinking of famous people that aren't talented, rich or smart. I know youtube makes it easier to become famous but the youtube crowd is tough, much like around here on WF, so you have to be legit or you won't make it.

I just saw Khole on Conan the other night.
Going by her low cut jacket with nothing on underneath I now understand her talent:rolleyes:
Something else that surprised me was she seemed more like a regular person on his show then she does on her own.

I don't think it's getting cheaper at all. Competition is huge in any field.

I agree it's huge, but I notice more people able to sneak through or jimmy the lock' because they are outrageous, controversial or have big boobs - and fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to display it on a reality show.

I don't think Success is getting cheaper because Success does not come to you, you go to it. Success is also a journey and not a destination.
One needs to develop the opportunity that is at hand to get to success.

I agree with your basic point, but do you really think a reality tv star whose claim to fame is having a big rear-end deserves the instant fame, fortune and popularity as opposed to a talented, trained actor whose paid their dues? That's my point.

For example, we have a generation that feels quick success is the only real success. Especially when the media parades 16 year old rap millionaires, Extreme sports athletes and teen movie actors. The "success is not a journey but a destination" statement is falling on more deaf ears with today's generation.

I totally agree that success can come easily to some who have no talent at all. So many reality tv stars fit that mold. I personally feel like it's getting old. Maybe others will start to feel that way too and there will eventually be a swing back to talented people who are viewed as successful.

The idea that a person could make money because they have a young kid that doesn't like going to the dentist is silly, a waste, and probably not good.
