Who Are the GREATEST WARRIORS of 2011?

GOOD PEOPLES!

Bolaji O here - like the hotel in Vegas... ha ha...

So a buddy of mine, Renouf, and I, got into an argument.

This was right on the heels of the 2011 Warrior Live Event, in Raleigh, North Carolina.

(Did I mention that this event was A-MA-ZING?!?!? BIG PROPS to Sam England and the other organizers. But I digress. Again. Stay with me here...)

Anyway. We met some giants of the Warrior Forum. Some real cool cats like
  • Jason Fladlien
  • Mike Carraway
  • John Rhodes
  • Ron Douglas
  • E. Brian Rose
  • Brad Gosse
  • Mike Lantz
  • Brad Spencer
  • Russ Ruffino
  • Tim Castleman
  • Colin Theriot
  • Mike Cowles
  • Tina Golden
  • Tommie Powers
  • (Brittany Lynch, former Googler, and SEO+AdWords Queen, couldn't make it unfortunately.)

The list goes on and on and on.

These guys were accessible, approachable, and down-to-earth.

It really got James and me motivated.
Since the event, we've been working hard to step our game up!

In any event - it got us thinking: We met some GREAT warriors.
But who are the GREATEST Warriors this year?

I mean - who is really KILLING IT this year?

Who are the MOST RESPECTED ON THE FORUM this year?

Who have come up with the MOST INNOVATIVE products, campaigns, or launches this year?
WHO ARE THE MOST NOTORIOUS WARRIORS, LOVE 'EM OR LEAVE 'EM, THIS YEAR???

The list above is just a start. Of course, there are some other names that would come to mind IMMEDIATELY, for WARRIOR OF THE YEAR.

I have some in mind - but let me not "hog" all the obvious names.

So what's your take?

If you had to list 10 Warriors that SHOULD make the top 100 list...

Whom would you pick?!?!

NAME YOUR TOP 10 FAVORITE / MOST ACCOMPLISHED / MOST NOTORIOUS WARRIORS!

- Bolaji O.

p.s. If you haven't yet, check out the AMAZING notes that Russ Ruffino took.

I vote for the New Zealand Warriors in the NRL.

But there are only13 of them excluding reserves.

Folks - copying that photo over and over is getting old! Enough already.

I'm asking folks to now add who YOU think are the greatest Warriors, to the list.
You can ask - but what some of us are saying both in posts and by not posting is that we aren't into "best lists" or "greatest lists". It's a game of "I like Judy more than Jane" and has no value because the list is different for each of us.

There is enough sucking up around here without creating a list to do it.

But Brad's pic puts him a close second.

Eh!! If I was asked to deliver a list of the folks I respect the most in here, it would take a whole month and would include a couple new users per day - including some rookies with great attitude and solid ideas of INTERNET MARKETING.

Too many interesting people here to list them, honestly.

The trouble with naming names when you have a large circle of friends, associates, and others that you respect is that you will inevitably leave a few off the list that you would have included had their name came to mind. It's an easy way to alienate them a little ... or a lot, depending on their personality type. And so, I include all my peeps on the list ... you know who you are!

      I can respect that, Dennis.

The unfortunate thing is that those of us who are newer to the forum don't get to know who those unnamed amazing Warriors are, though. :/

      But I understand your point.

Since the list is really light on female marketers - how about if you just list the MOST IMPRESSIVE FEMALE WARRIORS OF THE YEAR, in your book?

      Shorter list, more manageable, perhaps?

Maybe shorter... although you never know.

I understand your desire to know, but it doesn't take long to start picking up on who is respected around here.

Nope, not going to do a female list either, for the same reason. Sorry. Even if I could remember everyone I would want to name, someone who might think they're on my list that isn't might take me off of their list. That might result in a lost opportunity.

Threads like this pop up every few months. If you search for them you'll probably find plenty of named Warriors. Who knows, my post will take this thread back to the top and maybe someone else will see it and start naming names and get the ball rolling in the direction you want.

      Hi judiff!

That list is not complete AT ALL!
It's simply the list of presenters (and some attendees) from the 2011 Warrior Live Event.

I'm asking folks to now add who YOU think are the greatest Warriors, to the list.

      What say you?

I wouldn't have and did not word it differently.

I said exactly what I thought appropriate to say.

I don't care who is and is not on the list, but I do recognize that some people will be offended by who is and is not on the list, and who was worthy who was left off the list.

If I stood up to THANK everyone I thought was worthy in this forum, I would surely leave worthy people off the list, and then I would piss off, anger or hurt those who were not mentioned.

The only people who will be truly happy with the configuration of any such list are those who are recognized. And those who were ignored or forgotten may be upset.

p.s. The only lists I deserve to be on is the list of "funny" warriors and "asshole" warriors, so this is not personal. :p
