Clickbank account confusion. Made an account, but need to make an affiliate now?

So I made a Clickbank account...and saw the "Promote products" button so I clicked that. Then it says "Become an affiliate" so I click that...and I am basically at the account creation screen again.

So is the original account I setup not valid to use as a clickbank affiliate?

    If you are an affiliate you would login - not "become an affiliate". You need to spend some time reading through the site about being an affiliate.

    As a rule you would login and click on "marketplace" and then could find products and create hoplinks.

    Ok, yea I guess the first time I became an affiliate. They just do a poor job of keeping the flow clean and streamlined.

    If I am already logged in, I shouldn't even be given the opportunity to "sign up" again...that is stupid... but I disgress.
