I received a phishing email today that actually made it into my in-box so I wondered if it was legit. These usually don't make it all the way through for my email account.

It didn't look right so I contacted Aweber and they confirmed it's a fake. So just in case anyone else gets it...

Thanks for the warning, Alan. It's an obvious fake to me, but I'm sure some people will fall for it and will soon have some louse sending spam to their subscribers.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

I too received it. Aweber said they received many complaints at the same time. Phising the IM market is the worst idea in Internet history. It would be like trying to trick Gary Vaynerchuk with a box of Walmart wine. It's not likely to happen.

Yeah, we got one of these too... obviously fake - but I can see how it could trick some people! Thanks for sharing Alan
