How to reach post count 30?

How do I increase my post count when I am not able to participate by replying to people's thread?

Is starting new threads the only way?

Why can't you post to threads of others? Shouldn't be a problem.
I see new members posting in the main section daily - if you are trying to post in the WSO section that might be different.

What happens when you hit the "reply" button to try to respond in a thread?

I was thinking the same thing, but it is just the WSO forum. You can reply in the main one.

I think you are wrong. 30 posts is required before you can RUN a WSO of your own - but I see posts in the WSO section in the past few days from those with less than 30 posts.

Have you actually tried to post by hitting "reply" and been told you cannot?

I've asked this question several times of those saying they can't post - and not one person has answered that question!

Kay this must be something new as I do not have a post of 30. I thought I'd test it out and when I try to reply to a WSO it states you must have a post of 30 in order to even post in there. And then it gives you your current post count.

As for replying in other section of the board I have no issues at all.

There are certain parts of this forum that posts do not count and this is one of them. This keeps people from just posting nonsense just so they can do an WSO later.

I wonder if the 30 posts count is set the wso owner.
I bought 2 items from wso. Was able to ask question on one but not the other.

    Thanks
    Jim

I can post here! But how come my post count is still zero?

Posts made in the Off Topic forum do not count towards advancing your post count. Participate in the main forums and you'll be good to go. You'll get 30 in no time with all the active discussions going on.

Easy. Reply in 30 threads. And voila.

Because...posts in the OFF TOPIC section don't count. Try posting in the MAIN FORUM.

Posting in the WSO forum is one of the changes Allen has made. Nobody is able to post there now until they have 30 posts. Too many were gaming the system and using it for one liners to get their post count up, or running a wso when they didn't have 30 posts.

I have been on this forum sence June of 08 (I know not that long compared to most of the folks here at the bar) and only have 28 posts. Then again I spend most of my time here in the OT. I don't see what the big deal is! I only make suggestions when needed without overkilling the question/topic. I also get most of my questions answered by doing research on here and the old forum. If you really have a question on a WSO just pm the publisher.

Sorry if I have overkilled this thread I just had to get that off my chest!

So posts in OFF TOPIC don't help you get to 10 to send PMs?
