So I guess I'll just get straight to it....

I few weeks ago I realized that I could be using the time I spend on the internet to make money. I've bought a few books on the subject and while I now have a basic understanding of the different ways to make money, I still can't decide which method would best suit me. I thought I could ask you guys for advice....

My goal is to bring in $75 a day (not month or hour lol). I know that you should "aim high" but this is the goal I have decided on. Is it possible for a newbie like me to be making this kind of money consistently? My time goal is to reach this level of income within a year.

I'm on break between my freshman and sophomore years of college. I need the money so I can buy an apartment near campus (I hate commuting) and afford law school (it's a state school so it's relatively cheap). I can type very quickly (I'm an English major, don't let my mistakes in this post fool you). I also have enough money to afford hosting and two or three websites.

So, anyone have any advice? It would be greatly appreciated

  • I would say to pick something that you enjoy and experiment....

At first, its a lot of trial and error...Do what others have done and you will have a good start at least, but what works for one might not work for you because of various reasons (like niche, etc)...

You are doing the first step correctly and educating yourself!
  • Try to focus on one particular thing... Don't spread yourself too thin....

  • Hey zigg, try out the 100k Adsense blueprint. It'll cost you $47 but because it's a real step by step it's a great way to follow a plan through to a completed site. Then if you decide to diversify from Adsense (which you should, of course) you'll have all the basic knowledge you need.

Thereafter, you will better understand the basic concepts that you'll hear about on this forum and eslewhere, and you'll know what to explore in more detail and where to find answers!

Whatever you decide I hope you are successful - welcome to the wacky world of IM!!

  • Choose one method (any), stick into it and continue.....

Of course you can. No hesitation there at all.
  • @zigg,

Making money online can be divided under these sections :
    > Create and sell your own product
    > Promote other people's product
    > Create content pages and make money from advertisements

Best thing: Choose the option which you feel is right one for you and stick with it. Many newbies make the mistake of going after many ideas and not making any solid results in any of them. So better choose one steam and stick with it.

zigg, I feel you can (my personal opinion only) create one or two web sites with valuable content in them and earn money from advertisements.
Each website should cover all the areas the theme of the website is about. It should be original and not copied content. For monetizing, you can use Pay per click options like Google Adsense.
Your earning will improve as your websites become popular. It happens with time. Right now you can focus on improving the quality and usefulness of the content in your website. These types of websites will generate more money in the long run than lot of micro sites with 4 or 5 pages in them.

Hope you will find this post useful.
  • I would suggest to start small not big, and don't jump in something u r not familiar with like, don't jump in selling on amazon (you can get banned without even knowing why).

Study the market you are going into carefully before you start something

    good luck

Fastest way is to offer a service and writing is a service a lot of us need regularly. You will need to join the War Room ($37 one time fee) and then post an ad in Warriors for Hire ($20 fee and $20 to bump back to first page when it reaches page 3).

Do a couple of writing samples for the thread. You can browse the content providers there to see what they are charging.
  • the secret to this is learn and earn.
be good and have your reputation stand out.
and save time and money if you outsource work as well.
    best of luck

    • Wow, thanks for all the help guys! I know I can write high quality original content in English, and for $20 per 500 word article I could make some serious money! But I'm worried I'll get overwhelmed with orders if I'm good enough. I don't want to be spending every free moment writing content. If I could somehow limit it to 5 orders or 10 orders a day maybe?

      Anyone have any other suggestions?
