Need to look for some health insurance in Brooklyn, NY.

Anyone here know of some good options for the self-employed?

THANKS!
Mike

Sorry, didn't see there was a very similar thread below mine.

But maybe someone has a specific recommendation in NYS anyway...

If I still remember correctly, the ones that come to mind are Oxford, GHI, BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna...

You can also google Healthy NY. I don't know their guidelines, but I think they're cheaper than regular health insurance. I think Healthy NY is like a bridge between paid health insurance and Medicaid.

    Good Luck!

Healthy NY is a program for people who can't get ins. through their jobs.
The rates are based on your salary, so they are a sliding scale.
I'm not sure of all the ins. companies involved, but I know CDPHP and Fedelis are.

Thanks guys. I looked into Healthy NY, looks like I make too much money, since it's really for lower income folks.

Maybe there are some Warriors in NY?
