    $1,685 or so?

    A jump of about $700 oz in the past what, 2 years?

    You ever pan for gold?

    We have an old abandoned gold mine about 5 miles from my house, dates back to the civil war. The mine is on private property, still the same creek runs through our 75 acres that runs next to the mine.

    • I've never panned for gold. Sounds like you just might have a potential tourist attraction there. Push a legend (fictional is ok, but make it sound real), translate it to Japanese. Hey, lots of Japanese tourist visit the home of Anne of Green Gables in Prince Edward Island, Canada, though she's entirely fictional.

  • I made a pretty decent profit trading gold today.

    It's volatile, but keeping a close eye on it can make you money.

    With the world economic situation like it is, people run to gold for security and you can benefit from that if you are careful and manage your risk properly.

    I may be preaching to the converted, but thought to at least tell you I had a good day trading gold.
  • Just make sure that if you really want to be secure that you buy real gold rather than futures. Futures are just fake money until you sell, while gold is something that you can rub and call "My Precious."

    • In the UK they now have ATM machines that pay out in gold.

      It started in the Gulf (where else eh?) last May then went to Florida in December and a couple of months ago started here.
