Okay - I can't find this answer anywhere, so I think they assume everyone in the world is a sports enthusiast and knows the terminology - I am not and do not.

Can anyone tell me what the LG means in

LG snowboarding FIS world cup

Thanks in advance.

LG is an electronics company (cell phones, TV's, etc.). LG stands for "Life is Good". They sponsor the snowboard world cup.

Oh jeez yeah - I'd have guessed that one. LOL - I've been racking my brains trying to figure out what kind of run or maneuver LG might stand for. Thanks for the education.

Even if you were a sports enthusiast you might not have made the connection. LG is pretty low key. They're known more for being a white label manufacturer. For example, LG makes Zenith brand TV's.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

Oh great. A snigger? This just isn't my day for unusual terms is it? I think you should put the poor little thing down without throwing it anywhere.

Alan - so you ride, doncha? Are ya a light weight or extreme rider?

LG is a big company, they have many products, you should be looking to sign them as a sponsor

I didn't know either Sal and I still don't know what FIS stands for.
Oh well at least I know what a snowboard is (a board made out of snow right?)

I always find it strange how unrelated companies sponsor sporting events LOL
LG has nothing to do with snowboarding, so I don't see how it will help increase sales. I can understand a tyre company sponsoring a car racing event, that makes more sense

Know what you mean. Never really figured out why Liverpool Football Club are sponsored by Carlsberg. Target audience, I guess.
