Funniest reason for a refund?

Ok, my policy with customers that use paypal - actually any customer, but especially those that use paypal, is to give an immediate refund any time a dispute is raised. It hasn't always been that way, but I'm finding that paypal will leave me and my money alone, if I just make disputes go away quickly. And that doesn't bother me, since almost all of my products are digital delivery products.

That being said, today I gave a refund to someone raising a dispute. And the exact reason for the dispute: "Ruined Food or Plants". LOL - And yes that was for a downloadable product. I was so tempted to change up my policy after reading that. But it was a good laugh, and I do still want paypal to keep my money out of their freezers, so I stick w/ my policy.

Ah, 'the path of least resistance'.

A wise decision although really hard to swallow sometimes.

I have a better ridiculous reason for you though.

We are a free program - when I get a refund request, well, what can I say except 'No thank you'.

I read a comment on Amazon that left me shaking my head. The person was very upset and returned their cast iron skillet. The reason? The handle got hot when the skillet was left on the burner. Hellooo!!!! It's a cast iron skillet. Duh!!!!

"I need a refund because I used the product already for what I intended to use it for and no longer have any use for it." - Deanna on pair of heels bought from ebay.

Sorry Deanna, NOT the way it works

I think its funny how some places just accept anything back even without a receipt, like wal-mart, and there are places like target that if you don't have a receipt you will not get anywhere.

I know this isn't a funny reason for a refund but I think its funny how some stores will refund anything and have a 100% guarantee and others are really picky. Both are successful just different.
